im thinking... yeah yeah dangerous i know :p

perhaps physical death isnt the punishment. if the soul is immortal, then surely the death of the corporeal body is insignificant. would the punishment come only when the soul is abandoned by God?

  • In Dante's Inferno, Virgil resides in the Elysian fields, which are quite beautiful but still lesser than heaven. In addition, everyone who lives there cannot be near God, and that is their true punishment.

Some argue that the true hell is simple: being separate from God.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.
