I would not be shocked if something crazy happened and all the polls were 6% off. After what happened in 2000, nothing shocks me anymore.

He's not going to win. The Democratic Party is no longer a viable party for this particular office.
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.

    Interesting.
I'm not sure I understand completely.

    He's going to lose.

That way, if he wins, I'm much happier.
  • At this point with every major poll having Obama ahead by around 7 points give-or-take, I'd fear that we'd see a lot of rioting in the streets if he were to lose. Close elections favor the GOP because they're better at rigging the election results. Let's hope this one isn't close!

I think undecideds will definitely break for McCain. We'll have to see if Obama's ground game was enough to build up new, unregistered voters to support him that overwhelms that break for McCain.

Don't be too shocked if McCain wins....341....163 Obama

If Republicans want him to win he'll win via computer voting machines.

I think he will. And this will be a good thing, with the exception of a massive outpouring about his (half)blackness and how amazing/awesome/crazy it is that he's (half)black and president.

Don't be too confident. It's gonna be close either way.

I honestly think this election will literally come down to the wire. We may see something crazy happen at the last minute. McCain could pull it off, Obama could win in a landslide, who knows.

Probably not, this is the country who voted Bush into office twice. I hate to say it but I live in the stupidest country on the globe. It's comical that people actually think Palin is qualified to be President if McCain died. Asinine people are funny.

I hate being pessimistic but I'm almost afraid of being optimistic when I look at the polls

What the fuck does Palin have to do with anything? Don't vote for a President based on the VP pick. It's just as bad as voting for Obama just because he's black, or NOT voting for him because he's black.

Honestly, my dislike of Obama outweighs my dislike of Palin.

Also, saying people are stupid because they voted for Bush is ridiculous. Step off your high horse and understand that people come from different backgrounds and circumstances than you, and the fact that they voted for him doesn't mean they're sheep (necessarily). Okay, so he was a crappy President. But Gore or Kerry could've been just as bad for different reasons. We'll never know.

Who ever voted for Bush is asinine.

McCain is a joke for a candidate and Palin is as qualified as an ass pimple.

Really? She's only running for Vice President.

Your buddy Barack is running for PRESIDENT with not even one full term of Senate experience. It's amazing how people just completely overlook that just because the guy is a good speaker and more charismatic than McCain, and because the media have kissed his ass from day one.

  • I know many conservatives think Obama will "tax and spend", but I believe he will be more moderate, and will cut spending to pay for his programs, and not allow the Dem Congress to abuse their position of power like Republicans did under Bush.

    Will see.

I think Obama is the next President of the United States, with 341 electoral votes. Including wins in Florida, Indiana, Virginia, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico if not more swingers

In case you hadn't noticed McCain is knocking on a bit, at 72 years old he's reaching the average mortality rate, so actually there's a very real chance that Palin could become president, which to most people is quite horrifying.

Nope, he won't. You're getting that impression because he has tightened his positions to appear more Moderate. That's what any candidate does, because the majority of American voters are Moderate, not Conservative or Liberal. I honestly would be happy if Obama was more Moderate, but I don't think he will be.

I'm telling you one thing, If indeed McCain wins this election somehow someway, I will light a candle for his health every night because there isn't a more terrifying thought than Palin being President of the US

    Yes, I think so.

The choice of Sarah Palin as VP is enough of a reason to ensure Obama is elected. Even the most ardent Republicans must admit that choosing her was a fatal decision.

Absolutely terrifying!! I would rather GW take another term than Sarah Palin even coming anywhere near the helm of this country...and i think GW has been one of our worst presidents of our modern time.

I think that's a typo, you meant, the Republican party...is no longer a viable party.
