I remember Baldwin and Eddie talking about it in 2000. And alot of people talked about it in 2004. I know Kerry supporters were very depressed after Kerry lost.

Seems like people have more invested in Obama this time around than any other candidate in recent memory.

If he loses, will his supporters, and a large chunk of left wingers seriously consider moving to canada?

I happen to have a lot of time on my hands. rather than leave, I think I will find ways to nonviolently resist.

McCain's victory can't be worse the Bush winning twice. Nobody went then. Nobody will go this time.

No I'm staying right here. I like where I live too much to move because of the candidate who gets elected. The only way I would move is if the candidate started ranting about killing all them spicks in the US. Then I think i would pack my shit up and leave.

Why in the hell would I move to Canada? They seem so much more civilised then us. I'll stay right here in the good ol' USA where we hate each other and act like animals. Why would I leave this Nirvana...

I wouldn't leave, and I don't think most others would either. I don't feel we've reached a point where things are so bad that they can't get better. The last 8 years -- culminating with this election and some of the ugliness it has brought to the surface -- have inspired me to change my focus in life. I really want to figure out how I can make a difference in the lives of other people and not just my own. I haven't figured out what that means yet, but a McCain victory would just make this feeling stronger.
  • this is unrelated to the election, but i want to live in Vancouver.

I'd consider it if McMain died in office and Palin took over. That would be too much.

  • Lazy Americans won't do it.

It means they have to pack and stuff.
  • isnt it a huge pain in the ass to move to another country and become a citizen anyway?

I'd move there. But not because of the president. I just like BC. :)

I'd rather move to Europe. It is something I will probably do soon anyway, been planning on doing it a while. It isn't who is in office that would make me do it, this country losing its identity would though.

McCain wouldn't motivate me to move, but the ridiculous news media in this country might.
