I mean, these three arent radicals. They are reformers. They believe, that we need to change a few laws, or pass a few laws and everything will be better. After soon to be 8 years of Bush II, is that really what we need, merely reform.

All 3 refuse to say they will pull out all troops by the end of their first term.

all three refuse to say whether they would start war on North Korea or Iran.

All three promise the same old, same old. As Pete once said, meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

remind me again, why I refuse to vote democrat or republican? Why neither is fit to run the world?

you're dead on, people are voting for status quo.

It doesn't matter which block of pablum you're voting for, politicians in this country are completely and totally self serving. There is no point in voting for any of the canidates in the two major parties because you wind up with different versions of essentially the same thing it just depends on which special interest groups get fed and the other special interest groups suffer and whine about it etc etc.

The US political system right now is a freaking joke.

I'm incredibly bored by the entire race, which I didn't expect to be. The first race in 56 years with no incumbent or sitting vice president ... that sounded to me like it could get interesing, time to shake things up a bit. Who knows, maybe even (God forbid!) start talking about some new ideas!

That's certainly not what's happened. On both sides, we've got a slew of candidates that are nothing more than clones of candidates from days gone by, with a couple of free-thinkers prone to shooting themselves in the foot thrown in for good measure.

The whole thing is just incredibly dull.

    Laura,

First off great to see you back. Hopefully all is weel.

Second I completely agree with you, but we have no one to blame but ourselves. We have allowed our system to decay to this point where we have to choice the lesser of two evils as our president.

I'm seriously considering Stephen Colbert as my write in. He is making a mockery out of a process that is a mockery of what it's supposed to be.
