Can anyone explain this contradiction?

Since November 2004 the country has been solidly and unwavering in their support for pulling the troops out of iraq and ending the war.

So what explains NH voting for Clinton?

In case y'all didn't know this already, Dennis Kucinich and a Republican have demanded and paid the $2,000 fees each for, a hand count of the NH votes.

New Hampshire agreed, this past Friday, to do the recount.

You dont understand the country if you think being anti-war correlates to a win for the most ultra liberal politicians. In times of crisis, this country, which includes places like the South and the Mid West, tend to vote for experience over rhetoric. That's why you see names like Clinton and McCain at the top of the heap right now. And just remember New Hampshire is just one small state. All this crap will be settled on Super Tuesday. Thank god states like New York and California will be able to chime in before this shit is settled by the South and the Midwest.

there's the whole issue of electability in a general election. look at what the Clinton Machine is doing to Obama right now. If he cant survive that, he sure as hell aint going to survive the Republican mean machine.

He's within 5 points now nationally... and you are smoking crack if you think a Republican is going to be "elected".

The South is not going to elect a black or a woman. Lets be real. If Hillary or Obama win the same states will be as red now as they were in 04 and 00. While I dont like him personally Edwards is the most electable democrat simply on demographics and because he is so darn cracker. Either way the democrats are sure to nominate the most unelectable of the lot so don't count out anyone.

Your problem begins with the fact you trust the results...

Part of the problem is that people tend to be entirely uninformed on candidates' actually voting records. There are plenty of people who do not realize that Hillary Clinton voted in favor of the original Iraq invasion.
  • melodiousmelodious Posts: 1,719
thus, getting back to my point as to why i should vote anyway? who really investigates candidate records? you can look at your local level and see what your local supervisors are in favor; as well as the state and federal level.....i mean by voting it says i support the lies..if i don't vote, i am considered apathetic...

as for hillary, she doesn't have enough heart to really go out and support invasions....she is mother, after all....how could a mother send an entire generation off to slaughter...

beats the hell out of me...

as for the post stating something about the south, i concur...there's too many narrow minded souls in this entire nation...
