When I heard he was running, I was esctatic. I voted for him in 2004, he was the only candidate who was anti Iraq war.

He remains as such.

A vote for Nader and ONLY a vote for nader is a vote for peace.

Obama and Clinton still believe we should be in Iraq, both have ALTERED their positions MULTIPLE times.

Nader is the only candidate who would pull out troops, only one who believes Bush should be impeached, only one who is tough on corporate crime and believes the u.s. shouldnt be the United States of Corporations. He is the ONLY candidate who isnt funded by corporations.

As far as I am concerned, a vote for clinton or obama is a vote for more war.

Nader is the only change candidate running.

Look at Clinton and Obama's reponse to his announcement of his candidacy. They acted like if he was NOT running the issues he feels are important would be discussed and dealt with. Its the other way around in a place that I call reality. Nader talks about issues Clinton and Obama ignore.
Vote Nader in 2008! Lets end the goddamn war!

Like a handful of others around these parts, you completely misunderstan Obama's (and cunton's for that matter) position on Iraq. Oh, well. Good luck with that.

Look, if you don't know, you havn't been listening. i don't know why i should explain it to you now. The guy is very upfront about it. Being careful and responsible does not in any way equal "beating the war drums" as some insist . Please pay attention and give it a rest.

america's biggest problem is that corporations are running the country and dictating policy ... so, whether you think war, environment, health care, jobs, etc are the biggest problems facing americans - you can't fix them unless you take away this principal ...

only a vote for nader will change that ... i sympathize with those who are voting obama because of his hollywood scriptwriter or the anyone but mccain/clinton philosophy ... people are so desperate to see nobility in the white house that they are prepared to avoid what is obvious ...

until the corporatocracy is removed from power ... all tha ails america will be ...

says the canadian. since you have diagnosed us so exactly, perhaps you could give us some sort of prescription as to how we can solve the problem that has plagued every society in mankind's history... wealthy and powerful people having greater influence in society.

firstly - canada suffers the same problem just not the same implications

secondly - the solution is quite simple ... don't be defeatist about it ... if you make your decisions and choices based on what you know to be true and everyone did the same ... you have real progress ... but imagine what kind of impact would happen if everyone who voted with their heart instead of what they've been told ...

what if people's hearts are aligned with the positions being taken? the result is going to be the same.

also... how are we supposed to know what is true if we ignore everything we've been told? we can't believe nader either, cos he's just telling us stuff.

lastly, that's some serious hippy shit. if we all just voted our hearts, war would disappear forever? ever occur to you a good chunk of human hearts are ok with war?

i would say the majority of human hearts are not in favour of war ...

and what the heck does one mean by saying hippy shit? ...

Exactly. We will evolve past war. But evolution is on a more individulaized scale now. The more of us who reject war and violence as a method to solve our problems...the more war will start to be discouraged, thought better of and eventually disappear. There will, however, always be those around us who are less evolved and we will continue to have to struggle against the olds ways until it catches on throughout the world population.

Hippy shit and flower brigade is just some crap he throws out to discredit your point. It hardly qualifies as a counter point.

It's like a schoolyard playground at this point, the bullies are winning. Its why the UN is so important. WE need a check on the bullies or they will always have their way, at the expense of the weak.
