Anyone else completely unexcited about the 2008 election?

I usually am up on these things and have major interest, especially in the process of selecting the next president of the United States. But I really have no excitement whatsoever about it. I have seen the same candidates for a few years now. Campaigning started years ago for this! I am sick of seeing their faces.

I don’t have really interest, or no major interest in this campaign. With Kucinich out, you have essentially a one party race, with the exception of Ron Paul.

The major three, Obama, Clinton and Edwards aren’t progressive and aren’t radicals. They are the same old politician that has run since George Washington’s time. All three are pro war, they wont commit to pulling troops out by 2013. They are all proNafta and WTO. None are pro gay marriage. Everyone except for Kucinich would kill innocent civilians to track down Bin Laden.

I just have no interest at all in this stuff. Every person running is a goddamn liar. They don’t want change. They want power.

  • I hear ya. I tried watching the democratic debate last night but got bored half way through. To me it just seemed like they were debating semantics.
  • The last two elections were exciting enough, I don't mind a dry one

I feel the same way as you do, Radio. There's no point rooting for anyone now, because the lines separating them all are very slim. The guys who were going to get us out of Iraq are gone, and now I don't care to hear, watch, or read what happens next. We're all screwed now.
  • i'm pretty bored with it at this point. just waiting for them to tell me who to vote for.
