My analysis of election 2008 is that the most important base of voters isnt evangelical christians like it was in 2000 and 2004, but antiwar voters.
can someone from either party be elected in 2008, and be prowar?

i doubt any prowar republican will win a general election. mainly because the gop base are not thrilled with their options, and without that base they can't win. i think either hillary might win the general election even though she flip flopped on the war. the only thing that might hurt her is if she does not support bringing all the troops home before 2013, which i read in the paper the other day that she would support a presence there until then. obama has a shot because he has been against the war all along and i believe he will get the troops home before hillary would. kucinich would end it now and withdraw, but people view him as too liberal.

i disagree - the war won't be an issue
the surge worked - even the dems are admitting that...now they are backtracking the "we're losing" crap they have been shoveling out.
by the way, they are quitters and losers
this all depend on if teh anti-war voters vote en masse. that is why it is important that the youth vote (not that confident). evangelical christians will vote (very confident in that) I still think that the rep. will win the election (not that i like that)
