Politics of the talk show hosts

We know Lettermans left wing, and so is leno, but what about Conan. I could never get a sense of what his politics are

Leno is NOT left wing. He's a Republican.

leno is left wing, leading up to the 2004 election he did an interview with an alternative zine in LA. He said although fiscally he is conservative, on social issues he is left wing. He praised Michael Moore in the interview and said he was against the war. He seems to go after both sides though, because he continually made fun bill clinton while in office, and still does.

And for two (in consiously ironic tone), how does that jive with Leno saying in an interview: "I don’t mind that people don’t like me. I don’t like them not to like me for the wrong reason. If they don't make fun of everyone, it wouldn't be funny. The Daily show never looked too left wing until there were only Republicans to make fun of.

It's the talk show hosts' job to make fun of whoever is in the presidential seat at the moment. They all picked on the Clinton Administration too, if you don't remember...I don't see how what they say in front of the camera has anything to do with their personal political affiliation.

That's bullshit. I like the show better now that they aren't trying to fake that they are are not biased to one side vs. the other. I remember reading tons of articles about 3-4 years ago where they were saying that the show was not pro-conservative or pro-democrat. Even then I knew that was bs.

Nobody pretends to be unbiased. They make fun of everyone. If they just pick on one, they would only be catering to the humorless hypocrites that agree with them.
