As in ... Pearl Jam agrees to go to KRoq and play 3 songs ... PJ under current law gets no royalties from that performance, even if KROQ airs it 3 times a day for the rest of history?
I dunno.
Anyone more informed point me to some resources on what that question is getting at.

I didn't understand it either... But I would think that my response (and most politicians) would be something like "I honestly don't know enough about the royalty laws to talk about what we will or won't do, but thanks for bring that to my attention, I will look into it." or maybe *gasp* just ask the guy for more information. I can tell you for sure that my answer wouldn't have been "I have no earthly idea what you're talking about", and laugh about it...
