the media darlings are so in love with Barack and Hillary, but i'm so scared that a liberal will win the election and completely destroy our country, Barack seems like the least polarizing democratic candidate so theres a good chance he will win the nomination, but he will become an extreme liberal if elected because of all the pressure on the democratic side, it will be a sad day for all americans if a democrat takes the office with a full majority in the congress.

I guess I don't feel the same panic you do. I can't imagine a more insidious and pervasive blight on this country than W domestically, internationally and economically. I see every candidate running as being less of a crusader than Bush. None will strike out with the same religious zeal and tank the country. I may (and in fact do) disagree with most of the policy positions of the dems and the top tier reps. But after living through almost 8 years of Bush II, I can't envision anything worse from the current candidates, so I have no fear. The country survived Carter, and will survive Bush II. Both were class A douchebags who tried their damnedest to bring the economy to its knees, but we fight on.

I guess you'll have no other choice but to move to Canada, eh.

but seriously, what are you so afraid of?
  • It cracks me up that the right thinks Hilary is a liberal... She's further right than Romney was a few years ago.

If you took 90% of her comments and said they were from a republican candidate, no one would doubt you.

seriously, its not like a liberal is going to fuck things up any worse. the gop had their shot with a republican congress and president and look how wonderfully they performed. i say give someone else a shot. if for no other reason than to fix the stuff that shrub has done. it can only get better from here.

Wasn't Hilary a Republican at one time?

  • My only concern is all of the GOVERNMENT programs that will be enacted with a full Democratic D.C. All of this Universal Health Care and any of the other programs, that I am unfortunately to tired to intelligently remember, that are going to take more money out of my pocket. If each individual would take personal responsibility and do something nice for somebody else in need we would not need these programs. The Democrats policies are just to social and take away to much from the individuals. Just my thoughts

sO your cool when tax dollars go to the super rich but when they benefit the average American you have a problem...hmm.

  • No I'm not but the Democrats are not going to cut your taxes. They never have and they never will. They too are just as interested in helping the rich as the republicans are and is because they are the rich. Then keep in mind that if you make over 100k a year you are in the top 5% in this nation. Now I know alot of people who make more than 100k a year and they pay ALOT more in taxes than I do and I make 50K a year. As a matter of fact when 1 friend made 95K he came home with the same $$ in his pocket as when he got a raise to 105K so that tax bracket obviously pays a greater %.

Could they be any worse than the useless fool you have in power now.

But seriously whoever gets voted in will continue the agenda that has already been set.
Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.
  • The US needs a system reform not bigger government involvement. The economy is going to bust. It's not a matter of if....but when. It's a 100% certainty following the most simple of economic principles.

Fix the foreign policy, kill the patriot acts, and drop the Fed. Three big items that (badly) need to take place.. What liberal is talking about any of this?

Barack and Hillary are pro war. They say they are against war because they have to in order to have any hopes of winning.

Liberals aren't the problem. The fed and the MIC are. The only 3 candidates that address this issue are outcasted and marginalized by the media. Who owns the media?

I'd be quite happy with it if they would keep the "liberty" part in there, balance the budget and fix the broken tax system.

I have no reason to believe a Republican or so called "Conservative" would do any of that, since this is administration has grown the size and scope of government larger than any in history and they have taken thier own "liberties" with their outlined powers.

This is exactly how I feel. I have no love for any of the Democratic candidates but after 8 years of Bush any of them would be head and shoulder above him.

Ha ha ha. Because the fanatic right has done wonders with the country, right?

Ease your fears though, neither Clinton nor Obama are truly liberal anyway. It'll be another four years of the same shit regardless. The path the US is on will not be magically righted no matter who takes office. If the conservatives being in office will make you happier when the economy totally collapse, then good luck to you.
