Look at the bright side.. at least we have an estimate to use in response to those 'Freedom Isn't Free' statements.
    ...
and that cost estimate does not include the dollar value placed upon each soldier's grave.

  • AS soon as the US loses popularity in the world eye as the "good guys"....the party is over. It's already past casual in this regard.

It think it would be wise to not tear a blazing warpath through the middle east like a bunch of trigger happy lunatics.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Bush is destroying our Armed Forces. If you are going to send our guys into War... don't do it on the cheap. He should have sent in 400,000 troops to occupy Iraq and insure complete and overwhelming security so their rebuilding effort could commense without all of that violence. Seal their borders... train their soldiers in remote NATO sites... put Iraqi civilians to work, not contracted foriegners.
Now, it's too late. An additional 250,000 U.S Troops sent in now would only make things worse. We missed that window of oportunity, thanks to Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and Rice.
Our soldiers are placed in a tough situation over there. I don't know how we are going to get out of this mess without creating a greater mess.
