I don't know if a lot of you know this...(as most people do NOT)...but some time ago...Phillip Morris bought Kraft Foods.
This company then became known as "Altria Group Inc."
They are the "global leader in branded foods and beverages" according to their website.
Take a look at their website - Look around...LEARN!:

We had a good conversation a few weeks back on the food we are eating and the epidemic of obesity in the United States. I thought everyone should know that the company who has propagated some of the biggest lies against the American public in history is the SAME company who is now feeding many of us (especially our Children - look at the Kraft brands (sold w/ cartoons and the such - lessons learned from years of cigarette reasearch). Are these foods made to be a bit addictive???? I don't have proof of this...but I DO KNOW how Phillip Morris has made its money in the past!
If nothing else...I want EVERYONE to Know that Kraft Foods is infact...Phillip Morris!

are the foods addictive? who knows but i'm pretty sure the fat and sodium in them don't hurt sales.
thanks for the heads up...that's why i buy generic mac cheese.
whoa there big spender;) I am still in grad school. But i do get those when they're on sale...which isn't too often
So this isn't exactly new nor hidden...
EDIT: Furthermore, I worked closely with the labelling sub group under the marketing group. Listed food ingrediants, product claims (low fat, extra low fat, etc, etc.), and the rest of the "health information" is very highly regulated and frequently audited/tested by government bodies such as the FDA...but that was almost 10 years ago...not sure if they are more or less stringent now.

And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....
Fat people are fat because they are lazy and like to stuff their face. A percentage are fat because of health issues, and then develop other health issues that prevent them from strenuous activities that would help them lose the fat.
Conspiracy in government I can buy into, the obesity problem linked to subliminal feeding I can not.
i am fully aware that this insidious tobacco company hides itself within the food industry.
it is the reason i no longer buy kraft or nabisco products. and that very yummy toblerone chocolate is off the list as well.
as an australian it also means i have had to give up my beloved vegemite. :(
take a good look
this could be the day
hold my hand
lie beside me
i just need to say
this is basically the point to my post...I think everyone should be aware that "this insidious tobacco company hides itself within the food industry"!
well put!
