The Democrat Party

Am I missing something? Why do all of the neocons refer to the Democratic Party as The Democrat Party? Is that supposed to be some sort of slight? It started with Bush. I've since heard Rush Limbaugh use it often. Just this past week I heard McCain say it, and last night Oliver North said it on Hannity & Colmes. I'm sure there are many other examples. Question is, I just don't get it. By saying "The Democrat Party" instead of "The Democratic Party" is that supposed to be an insult?

This is just an assumption but maybe they are trying to distance the Democrats from the word Democracy

Democratic Party = Democrat Party
Troop Withdrawl = Cut and Run/Surrender
Estate Tax = Death Tax
Now, say it over and over. "The Democrat Party wants to Cut and Run, Surrender to Al Queda, and reimplement the vampiric Death Tax." Then, start telling liberal women that they'll look good wearing burkas, and voila. Victory.
Politics is so childish sometimes
