Ready For Thought Crimes? "TSA Deploys Airport Behavior Screeners"

Yet another "frivolous" "conspiracy theory" promulgated by your favorite "hoax jockey", Alex Jones ...

here it is from AP, and syndicated news sources:

TSA deploys airport behavior screeners ...
NEW YORK (AP) - To the untrained eye, the man looked like any other traveler as he waited in line at Kennedy Airport. But something about the way he was acting caught the attention of two security screeners.

For 16 minutes, they questioned him, scanned every inch of his body twice with a metal-detecting wand and emptied his carry-on bag onto a table. Out came a car stereo with wires dangling from it.

The man was eventually found to have done nothing wrong -- he said he had pulled the stereo out of his car because he was afraid it would get stolen -- and he was sent on his way.

But it's the type of scene that has been unfolding on a regular basis over the past four years at the nation's major airports under a rapidly expanding "behavior detection" program set up by the Transportation Security Administration to spot terrorists or other dangerous air travelers by way of subtle clues in the way they act.

Okay my fellow patriots,
lets here your great thoughts on how this is really a "necessary evil" that is surely acceptable to any decent person "as long as you aren't doing anything wrong yourself" ... i mean ... why should you be worried?

Surely in any free and open society we should have more "thought screeners" to profile us and make sure our brainwaves and CNS aren't sending off signals that say, "Oh shit, i'm going through security, and I'm nervous!" ...

right?

Come on.
I just have to be told i'm paranoid and over reacting at least once a week,
or i feel too normal.

:D:D:D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Considering how antsy and scared people are that 9/11 stuff might happen again, and the general over-reaction to airport security so that we may all think it can't happen again, I dont find it at all strange that they take aside people acting weird at the airport.

Not much fun for the weird people, though. ;)

And opposed to other "conspiracy theories", this is infinitely more believable and plausible than others thrown around here. Hell, is it even a conspiracy, or just something that everyone may not be 100% aware of?

    Peace

I am not sure what is wrong with this. I am all for training airport security people to know what kind of suspicious behaviour to look for and using that as a basis for extra review. It would seem to be a much more effective way to do things then to use random screenings, or racial profiling. I read the article and it sounds like the program is actually helping to catch people who are breaking the law, plus I am not sure how you could get "thought screeners" from people monitoring your actions. It is not like they are hiring psychics to read your mind before you walk through the metal detector.
  • ... and the great irony of all this is that you cannot apply the same "if your not doing anything wrong.." logic to our leaders.

Every time information is asked of our administration they come up with some lame excuse why they cannot provide it.

my friend was searched for hours, and missed his flight... they promised him they'd send him on his international flight the next day business class... of course, he came the next day, was searched again, and sent on coach...

If you recall they had a huge hi-jacking of airplane problem back in the late 70s early 80s.
What did they do about it?

    1.They secured the cockpit doors.
    2. Armed pilots.
    3. Flew one air marshall (instructed shot to kill) on every flight.

Guess what... they havent had one hi-jacking since!!!!!!!!
