    I was watching that McLaughlin Show and almost choked when I heard Pat Buchanan say, "... if we (the U.S.) weren't meddling in Middle Eastern politics... they wouldn't have come here on September 11, 2001...". Because, i beleive and have have said the very same thing!!!

    Pat Buchanan has probably been saying that longer than you have (see "A Republic, Not an Empire"). He's a nut case fo sho, but the man is certainly right about some things.

    You are right... he probably has been saying it before I have... but, i never listened to him all that much before. I just thought of him as that guy that invented the Culture War and wanted a return to (1950's style) family values... that only really existed in television sitcoms such as 'Leave It To Beaver' and 'Father Knows Best'.
