the word should be given its own goddamn month.
Children should study it every year in, oh say, august ...

... start the school year with it and end august with "inalienable day" ...

... sorry i've just been in a lot of conversation with my buddy recently ... and we've waxed estatic around constitutional issues involving rights ... and the phrase inalienable rights, specificaly ...

If people would just subject their own constitution to scrutiny on a level even coming close to the way they do their bibles, we might actualy reach revelation and rectitude. I tink it would help bring back a missing sense of urgent indignation that has faded in to ignorant resignation.

I've read comments on this very enlightened board that lead me to believe that not only do many in "bright" forwardthinking society not comprehend the massiveness of what is proclaimed in the constitution, but that many of its members outright reject these fundamental assertions as archaic, or backwards or both.

?!!?

inalienable rights.
you have them.
act like it.
and defend them actively however you can.
at the very least, don't deny their existence,
or you truly will find yourself in slavery.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

good point drifting. we lose our rights because we don't stand up for them. when the second amendment is on the block; millions rally to protect it; yet others let the government slowly strip away other rights.
  • So many are stuck working all day, toss in a couple of kids, and who has the time? On average, very few, and this is how it's structured, and this is what they want. It's fine tuned slavery, dial it all in until you tune enough people out to get exactly what you want.

When that fails, jig the media. Great backup plan.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

  • why would someone who believes so staunchly in their bible take the time to read the consistution? they believe in something so much higher, in their minds, than a piece of paper written in by men.

people have a right to read their bible and ignore the constitution. they also have a right to disagree with your view. they have a right to be trampled on by a government unsheathed. and they have a right to demand that it continue.

there are two sides to this coin.
