Whooped on Thompson some more too.

So.

Figures about Ron Paul in Michigan:
NO official campaign help in the state.
NO visits from the good Dr.
NO TV ads.
NO help from the "Old Media" with free publicity on the news

RON PAUL BEAT GIULIANI AND THOMPSON COMBINED.

So.
Maybe he will still be repressed and not get the nomination,
but is he really just the choice of a fringe "elite"?

How come no one says Giuliani and Thompson supporters are categoricaly 100% whacked?

As far as i'm concerned anyone voting for ANY other candidate is a tinfoil hat wearing nut job, but i don't spread the sentiment at every opportunity.

Why are the Paul haters so vehmenent in their vitrol that all his followers are braindead morons who just don't "get it"?

Who are all these nutjobs voting for paul?

Racists?

Yeah well, the dems in general are ones that like to vote with their hearts, and not so often the best sense of their minds.

It was pretty clear Kucinich would get the back seat to a more "viewable" candidate ... one with looks, and a great suave persona ... the oratory skills of a james earl jones ... and pretty much just not a lot of real good sense behind it ... but goddamn its like watching a movie ....

which is exactly what is happening.
you are electing the man to ACT like a president ... but who will never actualy BE a president ...
    :(

It is the lessor of evils. I'm not naive to think great change is going to strike us in the head come January 09, but I have been so depressed with this country and he speaks to that "what if" in my head even if it is total bullshit. BUT I do think that Obama as president will help our reputation in the world, whatever that is worth.

do we really need ANOTHER Ron Paul thread?

i mean really, come on... this is getting a bit overboard

and i am not a Ron Paul hater so to speak... but this is getting to be a pain in the ass coming on the MT and having to sift through 25 worthless threads about Ron Paul

How about you just make 1 main Ron Paul thread with all things ron paul to exchange ideas and dicussion about the man... seriously

It would be nice to have a respectful president who isn't an embarrassment to the lot of us every time he opens his freaking mouth.

People do tend more reticent to work with you when you are respectful and you respect thier traditions and beliefs. That has not happened whatsoever in the last 8 years. That's a reason I like Obama too. Not so much that I agree politically or economically with everything, he just seems to be a respectable gentleman and that's pretty rare around the beltway.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

This generalization implies that the GOP voters vote with with the "best sense of their minds." And look who they are choosing (or, should I say, not choosing).
I cannot come up with a new sig till I get this egg off my face.

Romney was tied with/losing to McCain last night too in most polls.

I should have set that up like a SAT question.

Ron Paul is to 2008: Chris Cornell is to _____

Sometimes I get the feeling that republicans (or maybe I should say neo-cons?) vote with their wangs.

I have a simple question. If Dr. Ron Paul is from Texas and a member of the House from that state, then one would assume that Texas is very familiar with his politics and should be championing his cause.

Why then is he only polling at 5-6% in Texas and Giuliani leading at 24% in Paul's home state?

Not sure bout polls but I've seen tons of paul posters, stickers, banners for Paul.....and not one for Giuliani.....and this goes for in the City as well as in the country. I'm sure Paul supporters are more vocal...but there is very strong support for Paul.

I saw a bunch of stickers littered through the inside of the Lincoln Memorial too. If you give crazy people a bunch of signs and stickers, they will make sure that they seem greater in number than they really are.

Tend to agree with you but when you drive into the Texas Country side and see several good Ole Texas Ranchers with huge signs on their front 40 there's something going on....really think lots of Texans...of many persuasions are supporting Paul.

Texas: I wish to God it was a whole 'nother country
Texas: The only thing wrong with Texas, is the Texans
Texas: We're not crazy, we just drive like it.
