OK. So the question I pose is WHY? What benefit would the government gain by blowing up that building? The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.

Oh now just wait till the next crisis in one of our cities and see how much more Anti-Terriost Acts will be passed real quick.
This how these laws can easily be passed without the American public batting an eye.

They could have saved a crapload of time by slapping a turban on him during media photo ops...Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Actualy the most fucked up thing is the guy getting out of the truck next to McVeigh WAS an arab! Hussein Hassan Al-Husseini. Check it out.
But no no.
We don't want to implicate the A-Rabs ...
at least, NOT yet.
First lets crack down on militiamen, gunrights, and get the cameras aimed INWARD!

Well, i gotta say i'm intrigued.
Any film which gets "1 star" and the "idiot reviewers" write up gets my attention.
Cusak, Bridges, and Robbins?
May be the first movie i go to rent in the last 5 years.
Honestly not even sure i have a membership to blockbuster anymore. Hmm.If I was to smile and I held out my hand

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.0 -
They passed The Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 shortly after. Any other questions?0

Yeah.
A bill which failed to get passed the year BEFORE this attack.
I'd also just be curious to know if ANYONE actually watched the clip i reference from the OP link.
I'm glad just to have some non-"Your a fucking idiot" discussion, but if i could actualy manage to engage ANYONE to broaden their horizons and actually at least consider alternative viewpoints, then maybe we'd be getting somewhere.
Instead everyone of these posts immediately derails in to some side issue or discussion of a movie?
So, anyone watch the clip and have any questions about the "official story"?
Seems to have more holes than an entire wheel of swiss.

AEDPA was the (at the time) very bold first step in wiping erradicating habeas corpus in America. Which, if you ask me or most liberty minded folks, is a pretty "big deal".
Look where these laws are twisting and winding their way. Combine this with Bush's lovely new executive orders which contain language so ridiculously vauge -- "Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq" -- as to put you, me, or Eddie Vedder in peril and you have a serious problem!
So through the lovely process of gradualism, which the powers that be just love, we now have a situation where if you protest the war, you could get swept away to a secret torture facility to have your genitals crushed, with no judge ever hearing your case. If that sounds far fetched, just wait until martial law gets dropped on your face. I hear the level of tolerance for that kind of free speech crap drops pretty dramaticaly in such circumstances.
So, whose ready for the GULAG?
