Um.
What was the bet you wanted?
You would fellate a flying squirrel if Ron Paul got a whopping TEN percent of the vote in any state?

RON PAUL WINS! OLD MEDIA LIES!

That "18 delegates" for Romney?
A FUCKING LIE.

According to everything i can find on the RP boards, RON PAUL LOOKS TO HAVE GOTTEN THE MOST STATE DELEGATES LAST NIGHT!

That means he is sitting pretty to have the most delegates elected to National from Maine as well.

But the MSM would have you believe Ron Paul didn't get SHIT last night!

WTF?

Oh. And we rocked Huckabees FACE!

Hope Anthem

    19% > 52%.

    Fuzzy Math.

    19% > 52%.

    Fuzzy Math.

    Third is the ideal finish.

Most north eastern states are winner takes all states. They don't portion out the delegates to each candidate proportionally, they award all of their delegates to the winner. I don't see how the Paul boards don't understand this. Romney's 52% of the vote gets him 100% of the delegates. That's how it is going to be in many super tuesday races.

I'm glad Paul did well in Maine. Came within a couple of points of McCain and demolished Huckabilly. All good news. But let's make sure we are realistic about what happened. Paul didn't win Maine. Paul didn't win any delegates from Maine.

    nice showing for ron.
  • This is a good showing for Dr. Ron Paul

Puting it in perspective Maine was the first state to have an official Green Party back in 1992 followed by California that same year.

Thus I am not suprised by this strong showing in Maine

    WRONG WRONG WRONG
    LIES LIES LIES!

    The MSM IS LYING.

NO NATIONAL DELEGATES HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED!
They will not be voted on until sometime in MAY!

You know, i'm not getting angry at YOU (Jlew) at this point, so much as ALL the ignorant masses who followed your lead ... but

I FUCKING SPELLED IT OUT IN MY ORIGINAL POST:
    That "18 delegates" for Romney?
    A FUCKING LIE.

According to everything i can find on the RP boards, RON PAUL LOOKS TO HAVE GOTTEN THE MOST STATE DELEGATES LAST NIGHT!

The 18 delegates are NATIONAL delegates, they are "appointed" by voting at the state level in MAY, after the Caucaus vote that occured yesterday, and after the real vote for STATE delegates that occured after that.

NONE Of the 18 delegates have been selected yet, and when they are, it seems they are UNBOUND anyhow so they are free to vote their choice by law, but RIGHT NOW RON PAUL IS SEEMINGLY AHEAD IN THE STATE DELEGATE COUNT!

That means we have MORE STATE DELEGATES, whom get to vote to SELECT THE 18 NATIONAL DELEGATES ...

    WHOM HAVENT BEEN SELECTED YET!

I know what the fuck i'm talking about.
    And i fucking make sense.

Some of the @#)#@*()#@$ around here need to plug up their orifices and do some fact checking before they come on here and say I don't make sense.

I will admit to being confused about the way Maine does things. Their caucus is simply to elect delegates to the state convention. Their caucus isn't to choose a candidate. They have a "presidential preference survey" as part of the caucus process, but don't actually use that for anything.

That being said, Romney clearly won the presidential preference survey. But that is essentially meaningless. Where is the information you're using to base your assertion that Paul is leading in the delegate count? Since delegates are unbound, I assume they have been polled somewhere. Can you point us to that (or did I miss it somewhere?).

    THIRTY of FIFTY-NINE Delegates!

edit: jeff\All ... honestly this is pretty confusing stuff, because it involves supporters pulling this information from friends\sources at the precinct level.

There doesn't seem to be any centralized source of caucaus results ... and i don't think the above 30\59 is a TOTAL number. I think its just a fractional report of larger precincts that we have the numbers for.

But it certainly is looking good.
Also, caucauses were STILL BEING HELD ON SUNDAY!
So there are more towns that won't even have state delegates filled until end of day today.

But like i said, best anyone can make off the information available, it looks like paul will come in with SIGNIFICANTLY MORE THAN A "THIRD" PLACE FINISH. Somewhere between 1st and a STRONG second.
But seems we have nearly 50% of the counted delegates so far, with a good bit more being converted!

  • I wish I was as passionate about work as Drifting and Roland are for Ron Paul. I guess I caved in long ago and realized my life is worthless.

Also, I like how you call GodPt3 out when YOU WERE THE ONE WHO DIDN'T TAKE UP HIS BET!
  • Also, I like how you call GodPt3 out when YOU WERE THE ONE WHO DIDN'T TAKE UP HIS BET!

    yah.
    I'm a fucker like that.
    :D

Was waiting for someone to remember that part.
I believe i was really down after the Lousiana fiasco ... Ron Paul should have won, and probably DID win, but they didn't count all the provisional ballots ... AND the LAGOP is in CLEAR violation of the GOP National rules in regards to moving the date for registering BACK ... ie ... it was supposed to be you had 1 months before the primary to register republican, then they said, "You had to be registered TWO months ago." Again a clear violation of national GOP rules.

Anyhow, can you really blame me for being down on Pauls chances in the face of a media that refuses to even admit he is still running, and a party that has recently had a conference call at the national level to discuss the Ron Paul "situation" and "what to do" about it !?!

I know i'm a dick for calling Godpt3 out in spite of denying his bet,
but he was being a dick making the wager, to be blunt.

    :D

I don't think he was being a dick. While I think he might have low balled the number, you didn't really show too much confidence in your candidate to even crack the 10% barrier.

    Sounds like a toss up.

    "
It was NOT my candidate i lacked confidence in,
    it was the media, and
    more importantly,
the ability of the voting public to see through the medias lies,
or to go even further than seeing through lies ... to see something that was not even IN the media ... and that is, that there is this great candidate named Ron Paul, and if you didn't happen to tune in on the 1 day where he made money to see him slandered as a terrorist sympathiser or one of the other half dozen times they gave him an interview, then you probably didn't even know who the fuck he was. And if you did, they probably told you he was crazy.

That is why i didn't have any confidence ...
    why should i have?

    But you know what?
I'm glad life proved me wrong.

Its one thing i am MORE than happy to be wrong about.

    GO LIBERTY!
    GO RON PAUL!
    GO VOTERS!
GO PATRIOTS! ... uh ... oh wait ...
    :D:D:D

ps. and i guess you missed it, but he was categoricaly being a dick about it.
