It's not that, it's just that this RP is the only viable hope thus far for any real amount of change in the system, and for upholding the constitution, and correcting the economic system.
All the rest (candidates) are just pretending, and plucking up easily impressionable minds as they go. True wealth will never come from a printing press. Paper and ink as riches is an illusion, which is why the US military is having to secure it (resources) from other nations via lethal force in order to maintain the illusion.
This scenario of of plundering nations and empire building will ultimately fail, but so very few seem to realize it will not be permitted, and maintaining the current methods will only bring about additional misery.
Politicans are puppets. they all do what they;re told. People should want the guy that knows this, and is calling it out for what it is, not some top down hand picked same old. Cook with the same ingredients...get the exact same recipe.
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

How can Ron Paul be the "only hope for any real amount of change" when he'd be a lame duck President before he was even sworn in? No change would happen. Congress wouldn't go along with his ideas, and the "Ron Paul Revolution" doesn't have the staying power to last for elections on end to gain seats in Congress for the cause.

I do agree with Paul on a lot of fronts, but the idea that he can bring such change to government doesn't make sense to me. Besides foreign policy, just about every major change that he talks about will still need to go through congress.
With him in office, it could be the most dysfunctional government ever.

In a democracy, the will of the people shapes society. Are you saying we are doomed to play slave to conglomerate masters no matter what?
Actually, I would more or less agree with you if you did. However, if it has to be, I would rather the power be in the peoples hands instead of the corrupt few. People will still run around and buy all their shit and they will still make their money hand over fist.
RP is the only one currently viable addressing it. The rest are just sheeping along pretending not to, in order to sway votes while all the big underlying issues go unmentioned. All the candidates except for RP DK and MG are gatekeeping the status quo for the powerful lobbying interests.
This means more war to secure more resources to prop up a failing economic system, which spawns more war, which needs more resources....etc.. repeat.
It's catch 22 on a downward spiral.
At some point reason has to play in over fabricated media fears.

no, we have that now. and i agree, that ron paul isn't going to change things alone. no one person will. and i know that in our current system, there's no chance he actually gets elected, but this isn't really about that. his campaign is just the beginning of what will hopefully for all of us be the 2nd american revolution. overstatement? maybe, maybe not.. but paul has been able to get people who are fed up with all the bullshit together and organized to start working towards change - and not the hillary or obama type of "change", which is more of a "tweak" than anything else - but real, fundamental change.
the realistic hope for me is that his campaign gets as much exposure as possible for as long as possible, and that we will start to see more people running for office at all levels who share his principles.
change don't come from one. it's a wave.. building before it breaks. how's that for a cheesy pearl jam tie-in?
it's not cheesy at all.
I think about Undone all the time, and i play it two or three times a week. And i think about Ron Paul when i play it.
CAN'T WAIT FOR ELECTION DAY
WITNESS THE OCCUPATION
CORPORATIONS RULE THE DAY.
:( :( :(
I share your sentiment 100%
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I'm more interested in this bold statement. After we leave everything in the hands of the market, do you believe that corporations will not rule the day? Do you believe the "people" will rule? If you think corporations are too powerful now, just wait until the libertarians take over.
tell me what you want the government to do specificaly and i'll give you a thumbs up or down.
I agree that coporatism is a huge problem, but i'm not sure government regulation is the solution.
I actualy have 1 HELL of a solution, and i think it was the ORIGINAL INTENT of the 16th ammendment ...
READ HERE at top where starts "Congressional Record Senate June 16 1909[/url]
This is the ORIGNIAL proposition of what we NOW know as the "income tax".
Notice how in it's ORIGINAL form it ONLY taxed CORPORATIONS.
Do you think we would see a shift in power back to the localy owned business slowly but surely if ONLY corporations were taxed?
i think the answer is YES YES and YES.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I'm not on the Ron Paul bandwagon, but hell, it might be stopping here soon.
I too am not on the Paul bandwagon, but I'll have his back about being included in the debates. On that issue, I'll join the "Paul Possy." (I figured that is more endearing/less crass than "Paultards.")
