Seriously.
WATCH THIS SHIT!

Fucking awesome.

Now THAT is inspiring!

If only the people of age to vote could absorb a message that simple.

Sheesh.

I don't get it? What is inspiring about that?

The girl obviously had no business being in a mob of reporters like that. No ten year old has any idea what is going on with politics so making her battle with ravenous adults to get a comment is pointless and irresponsible IMO.

    The whole video seems odd.

Nice of him to acknowledge her though.

My impression was that she is probably a homeschool child, or just one of highly motivating parents who display enthusiasm for success and personal achievement themselves ... and that the child has picked up on that... and that SHE WANTS TO BE THERE.

That was just my take from her body language ... she clearly wasn't totaly clueless .... she was just not really yet comfortable cutting off a grown woman reporter ... who she probably half admired (because thats what she wants to be someday), and was clearly half annoyed with not being able to get a word in ...

but i think she was doing something that SHE wanted.

    Thats all just my take.

    :D

  • I'm all for this guy's thoughts on gold but why does anyone think he is presidential? He's just a little 'off', kooky... hard to place... definitely not highest office in the land material though... I don't get this guy's draw...

    Cute video though Drifting.

Yeah, cause this country has never had presidents that were physicaly unassuming or of less than iconic figure.

    Please.

That the American public even considers things like a "presidential" image in their selection of leaders is pathetic.

If all things were equal, and all candidates were just rock solid beacons of liberty and on point with their messages then by all means, feel free to dig to the bottom of the barrel of importance and start deciding based on image ...

    but jesus christ, folks.

Now is not the time to be thinking, "Why can't we get Christopher Walken or George Clooney for president".

This is what the draw is with Obama though. He is a good looking man who delivers an excellent speech. It may be empty of substance, in some peoples minds, but still a good and inspiring speech. He's got that presidential look and sound that many people, sad as it is to say, base their vote on.

I love Paul's ideas but even if he got the nomination he would lose a national race simply because he does not look the part. Sad.

It's more than "sad" it is pathetic and inexcusable, if you ask me. And i'm glad you did. ;)

It is also indicative of the reason America is in the mess it is.

Critical thinking and situation analysis are skills our people no longer truly possess ... partly to blame on thier intrinsic desire to want to believe that everything is as it seems ... but also it has a lot to do with the deliberate moron-creating nature of our public education and mediatainment institutions.

ie. They want us to be dumb, and we happily oblidge.

    :(

  • Why is she reading her question from a page that has a Huckabee logo at the top?
  • Why is she reading her question from a page that has a Huckabee logo at the top?

    Well,
that would jive with my "homeschool" comment, now wouldn't it?

I have a lot of respect for Huckabee supporters, actualy.

I think they are mislead by the nature of their candidate, just like a lot of Obama supporters ... but i think the message they THINK they are on board for is a good one.

Remember, a lot like Ron Paul, Huckabee talks about eliminating the IRS, reducing the size of the government, following the constitution, and restoring self-respect and honor to America and its people.

Of course, I think Huckabee is lying through his teeth with regards to being small-government minded, or pro-constitution ... but i think his supporters do believe in those values.

So what i am saying is, i'm not realy too concerned if this girl is a Paul supporter (yet, :D ) or not ... she has ambition, and she seems to be a critical thinker, and she is open minded enough to at least get out there and ask some questions.

    :D:D:D

(did i back pedal that enough to your satisfaction?)

First of all I don't think it's fair to put a child in a situation where adults were trying to compete, and then complaining that the child isn't being treated fairly. We don't let tee-ballers into the MLB.
Second, you can tell she's taking cues from someone off camera, standing just behind the camera-person.
Third, I don't think reading a question off of a piece of paper can be considered "critical thinking".
Also, it appears that the logo on the microphone is the Scholastic Books logo. I didn't even know they had a news program.
    anyway.
