So you guys think the folks over at MTV have gone off the conspiracy bandwagon too?

I can't fucking believe these commercials made it as official station sponsored advertisement. WTF.

So.

Where are my, "As soon as you even mention nazis, hitler, or the holocaust, you immediately lose all credibility and are stupid" folks?

    No it doesn't happen EXACTLY like that. Our government doesn't need to throw us into camps to take away our liberties. They can keep us in society producing and consuming AND take away our freedom without all the fuss of doing it 1984 style.

    Its not that hard to get out of the system, take back your freedom, but anxiety and paranoia is an ugly blanket thrown over us by our "leaders" that usually brings us back into the system.

    Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

    i'm a little confused as to the OP's point.

    is it:
    a. things have gotten so bad that even an evil multinational corporation and media outlet like MTV has joined the side of the common man to speak about our future holocaust. I guess with the giant corporations on our side and speaking the truth, we dont have any more to fear. We've won!

    or b. MTV is the epitome of responsible advertising to our children, and if they can use holocaust imagery in an add, so can he, dammit! no matter how absurd.

    somewhere between A and the unlisted C which would be "WTF?!?".

    I'm mostly just confused, because i was under the impression that MTV had been bought and sold a LONG time at this point, and am not understanding who in their staff signed off on these way way over the top commercials (as far as commercial TV goes, not from my opinion, just from status quo) and why they allowed it.

    Just seems odd to see a faction of the "establishment" rating itself out. Eithere there are those at MTV who still have a heart and have yet to be fired, or they are just subliminaly using these ads to actualy gain acceptance for the abuses. Sort of like, "we show this to you and make you consciously aware, but then by doing so we make you more submissive to the possibility of it, because you are under the trance of the TV" ... i have NO idea of any factual psychological premise behind that, but it could be.

    Why do YOU think they were showing these commercials?

    it is weird, thats for sure. Maybe its that the whole concept just flew right over the heads of the execs. Or maybe they just think younger people wont pay attention anyway so long as they get to watch their Real World/Road Rules or whatever that fucking channel runs nowadays.

    or theyre just whores who dont care what the message is as long as the check clears.
