What else can congress do?

Well.
Listen to a former representative ... right at the end of this clip.

THERE'S NO RUNNING AWAY.

What would be the point of impeachment now....to give congress an excuse for not getting anything productive done at all? Lord knows they need one.

I think the point is in the words that come before the "answer".

When questions arise over what to do about a president who deems himself ABOVE the law, and UNaccountable to ANY laws of the people (thus, making him a TYRANT), then there is no avoiding the plain truth ... the truth that IMPEACHMENT IS the answer.

I'm not saying this has any great relevance this close to a new election,
I'm saying that America needs to remember that THIS is and will REMAIN the answer.

That one can not expect to sheep away from the necessary duty, and hope to find some more "amicable" solution. The solution is to throw the motherfucker out!

    :D

A lot of harm can be done in a just a few months but the bigger reason is accountability. I believe people should be held accountable for their actions. It isn't about how long he has left in office...it's about the things he has done.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

I don't believe he's done anything illegal (and neither do most people or this would have happened already).

Speaking of being accountable - have you turned yourself in for stealing government property yet?

    Apparently we can't.

I wasn't calling for accountability, though. Nor have I admitted to being unremorseful about stealing.

I for one am glad there is (in most places) no statute of limitations on charging someone for murder.
Bush and Co. are war criminals. I want them held accountable for their actions.

You don't believe Bush has done anything illegal?

does the English language allow that to be an actual sentence?

1 - I heard recieving the ultimate position from your fellow citizens calls for major responsibilities (=being held accountable for your actions) not only a cool house and free flights.
2 - Since just the "invading Iraq" part is illegal you can guess that what is done down there might be pushing some boundaries.

You can guess what happened....they got arrested....not Rove.

Nope. Just calling out someone who is professing a belief in accountability (apparently only when it goes against their beliefs, though).

    Theft = Civi Disobedience?

Man, I can't wait to perform an act of civil disobedience on your car. ;)

Rosa Parks did "turn herself in"...she did what she did right out in front of people...that's civil disobedience...

what was the purpose of stealing the sign? ... to OWN the sign itself? ... no, it was an act to make the job of recruiting people for a senseless war harder ...

but in any case - you can't even remotely compare the two ... i say if you do - then you are only seeking to distract yourself from what is the crux of the issue ...

    Quite a few of them.
And many of the rest float in some vague grey area between negligence and malfeasance. Of course, i'd say they are acts malfeasance disguised (dumbed down) as negligence ... which seems to be the MO of the entire administration.

    But whatever.
