Early gains have been erased as investors weigh the ramifications of the Fed stepping in yet again to add liquidity. Just after the market opened, the U.S. Federal Reserve said it added $3.5 bln in reserves via overnight repurchase agreements. Evidently participants are still struggling to grasp whether additional infusions are good or merely echo uncertainty as to the extensiveness of the credit turmoil
10:00 ET Dow -8.64 at 13070.44, Nasdaq -2.12 at 2502.91, S&P -3.56 at 1442.38:
[BRIEFING.COM]

From 9:30 - half hour before that announcement came, we had this:

Confirmation that the Fed stands ready to act to prevent the market's worst fears from developing continues to leave investors feeling that downside risks have been reduced.

READ: The Fed stands ready to MANIPULATE THE MARKET, PREVENTING FURTHER DOWNTURNS (read: CRASH) ... CONTINUES TO LEAVE INVESTORS CONFUSED, UNABLE TO DETERMINE UP FROM DOWN, DUE TO MANIUPLATION.

Freek market my ass.

I'm still on the fence about this. while what the fed is doing, is essentially a good thing, this doesnt allow the market to act freely.

and they arent doing it quietly. whatever that means

What the fed is doing, is essentialy devaluing YOUR dollar to bail out a bunch of shitbags that speculate.

you are right, it doesn't allow the market to act freely.
but hey at least it is keeping our shambled smoke and mirrors game afloat.

    really?

    http://strangemaps.wordpress.com/2007/06/10/131-us-states-renamed-for-countries-with-similar-gdps/

Although the economies of countries like China and India are growing at an incredible rate, the US remains the nation with the highest GDP in the world – and by far: US GDP is projected to be $13,22 trillion (or $13.220 billion) in 2007, according to this source. That’s almost as much as the economies of the next four (Japan, Germany, China, UK) combined.

Maybe tell that to the powers that be....maybe they'll listen to that. I really doubt it though.

I'm telling it straight out of the mouth's of the three amigo's (if you didn't know). It's not my opinion. I'm just telling you what all three are saying and doing.

wtf is wrong you people. do you not know the difference between billions and trillions?

the source I quoted had a typo 13.220 billion instead of 13,220. but its called common sense or common knowledge.

the american economy doesnt deal in billions, its trillions.

I honestly feel like I am talking to 5th graders. wake the fuck up

hey you're the one that posted the fuzzy numbers.

The fact that europeans use commas to denote decimals doesn't help a lot of people around here, especially when one of your numbers is using a decimal, and the following number is using a comma.

maybe instead of trying to blame us for your typo (or lazy copy paste) you should just suck it up and admit that you posted a bit of errant data that confused some people on here.

and calling me a fucking prick via PM probably wasn't warranted either. so sorry i couldn't interpret your "babbel", jlew.

again, stick to the issue and don't make personal attacks. you might learn something.
