I know there are a lot of Nader fans on this board, so just a heads up that he was on Maher's panel tonight. I didnt see much of the live episode, but a replay comes on in about 15 minutes and will be replayed all week.

  • Did he say why he has dropped out of this campaign?

I didnt catch most of the live show. It just started on replay now. So cant really answer your question at this point. Just thought a lot of people on this board would be interested in seeing him on there.

the way the system is set up , whats the point?
  • Nader didn't drop out, hes still in the race.

I expected Maher to be critical of Nader but he was actually very supportive, saying something along the lines of "That is the voice (nader's) that should be leading the Democratic party."

Surprisingly, the crowd seemed to agree on many of the points he made.

Nope. Hasnt dropped out. I think Bill made a point to have him the night of the first debate. IF our debates were more open, and would let Nader and Paul in, both McCain and Obama would end up embarrassed.

Bill loves Nader. He didnt support him in 04, just because he desperately wanted Bush out. But even then, he was very praising of Nader.
