Quite disgraceful. You really should show your opponent respect.

as I stated in a different thread ...

one thing that's evident, McCain just does not like Obama ... he never looks him in the eye ... when they shake hands, you can see Obama saying "good luck John" or "Nice Job John" ... and McCain is silent ... it REALLY gives the appearance that McCain does not think Obama is his equal, which, again, is NOT a sure sign of racism, but, it comes off, sooooo bad.

McCain has shown his true colors this past few weeks, and as the race tilts more and more towards Senator Obama we are probably going to see more and more of his nastiness.

let me state that i support Obama.

i didnt see him not shake his hand. in fact when tom B. was saying you are in my way and i cant see my script, they were hugging and talking.

at the end, it was Obama that took his hand away from McCains to shake the hand of Cindy. then Mccain took his hand away. thats what i saw.

I think McCain is just the oldest spoiled brat in the world. It was his in 2000, and some moron kid of a former president got in his way. In 2008, it was definately his turn, and now Obama's getting in the way. He knows at 72, it's now or never. I don't think he detests Obama because of race. he detests him because Obama just took the one toy in the playground that McCain has never been able to play with, and he ain't giving it back. But you're right, that comment came off terrible, and it wil be a soundbite for a few days, and it'll be on SNL Saturday for sure

It looked like when Obama went to shake his hand, McCain pointed toward his wife as if to say "Shake hers instead"

Obama should come in with a high-five to start the next debate and see what McCant's reaction is.

You know I didn't see that before, after Obama reaches out with his hand McCain points over to Cindy and leaves Obama hanging so he shake her had instead. He Left Obama hanging.

Some strange goings on here for sure.

Wouldn't that be like someone to stop saying "thank you" at Christmas after they recieved a gift just because they've said it so many times before? It's just to show some respect really.

I haven't watched one debate because I'm not voting for either of these two clowns but how does McCain address Obama?

I've heard he addresses him as Senator Obama and not by his first name yet Obama addresses McCain as John. Maybe McCain feels that his Obama showing him no respect?

McCain sucks and every one who votes for him should change his mind.
I really don't think he's a good thing for the USA. Your country needs something new, needs change. This guy doens't even shake Obama's hand. Shaking hand is, for me, the least he could do. I mean, even when you don't like someone, you say hello and you don't refuse to shake his hand. I guess McCain is too racist to shake a black's hand.

McCain refused to shake the hand of "That One" because he's a bitter little prick who is jealous and defeated. He knows he will never be President and It fills him with rage.

McCain is an absolute disgrace to American Politics. He's run a shameful campaign which is thankfully on it's last legs.

He's a running joke with no solution.

He should just go back to Arizona and live out the remainder of his foul bitter life alongside his pill popping beer heiress of a wife and stop wasting America's time.

I know, I'm just saying both Obama and McCain looked to have gotten distracted and just never finished through on the handshake. There were a lot of people around and they were both kinda preoccupied. I don't even think McCain intentionally didn't shake his hand.
When I said they've shaken hands many times before, I just mean why would he suddenly refuse now? Just cause he's quickly falling behind in the polls? He's not stupid enough to do that.

But yeah, I'm certainly not arguing that McCain is a jackass and would make a shit president

He was the one who tapped Obama on his shoulder to say hello (AGAIN). You all need to calm down. McCain's not racist. They also shook hands and were in the moderator's way after the debate.

    Please.... grow up.

Not saying he was racist with the handshake and *this one* business just plain RUDE! No manners at all.

I also found the use of the word "other" in the fourth paragraph of this article to be interesting. Coincidental, maybe. But definitely interesting.

Oh yeah, this was written in 2000.

I think it's in Obama's fans best interest to not act as though a comment like "this one", in which McCain was comparing voting records, is worthy of even a "racist" agrument. If they keep this up, people are going to get turned off because they know that McCain is not and was not being racist.

THis type of garbage takes people's attention away from the issues. And given the economy, Obama wants to keep attention on issues. This type of slander only helps McCain.

probably not, but maybe Obama can get McCain to give it to a Todd Quinlin "air five"
