Ugh Stub Hub

So I ordered tickets for MSG II thru stubub almost two months ago. I got a confirmation that day and said that tickets would be shipped June 20th. Never got a shipping e-mail yesterday so I call up today and they tell me that the seller had his account deactivated and they are working on getting me replacement tickets. The guy said their replacement ticket department is excellent and they would get me equal or better tickets for the same price. He guaranteed I would have them, but I am not very happy about this. I asked the guy ( who was really nice) why they didn't contact me yesterday about this and all he had to say was they should have. Gee...thanks

Bottom line, I will never use stub hug again.

Sorry to hear that happened. Yeah Stub Hub is an awful site, I've never used it myself. As much as everyone hates ticketmaster, at least you'll recieve your tickets withing 5 business days.

Yeah...it was the first time I ever used it. I hate to say I do, but I usually use brokers to get good tickets to events. With them, they might be scum, but I always do have the tickets in hand within 48 hours

I've never used Stub Hub; have browsed just to see what they offered but have never gone that route. Considering your situation I guess I never will. Third party ticketing is tricky as is without that extra curve thrown in.

Sorry for your issue and I hope you get your tickets.

No. 1, I would see how they rectify your situation before I swear them off. You might be pleasantly surprised.

No. 2, I've used them twice, and I was really, really impressed with the level of customer service.

So long as you don't mind paying the various fees associated with these scalper sites, I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

I do have to say their customer service was excellent and the guy was 100% certain that they would get me the replacement tickets. I know it isnt their fault that the seller flaked or whatever. I just dont need this hassle a few days before the show.

Guess that's true. I normally don't use scalper sites. StubHub is the only one I have ever used, and I've never had a problem.

To me, it certainly beats buying tickets off eBay, because these guys will go to bat for you.

See, and with all of the tickets that I've bought on eBay, I've never had any sort of problem with a purchase.

But all it takes is that one time to turn you off permanently.

I've never used eBay, so answer this for me:

If someone on eBay decides to screw you, doesn't send your tickets, and skips out, what recourse do you have?

Will eBay do anything for you? Can eBay do anything for you? Can you even get your money back, given you've paid some random dude who's skipped town?

    Bummer. :-(

I used them for the first time on Friday. Got semi decent tickets to the DC show tomorrow for less than cost through ticket master (I missed the 10 club presale as the e-mail went to my spam folder and I hadn't been on this site in a long time--didn't figure they'd tour anytime soon).

Tickets were e-mailed to me within 3 hours.

I was just lucky, all that's on there now is super jacked up price, 4th level nosebleed seats (amazing they're that high since there's still some nosebleed seats available through ticketmaster).

if StubHub is going to get you equal or better replacement tix for the same price, I'd say that's pretty damn good customer service.

I'd trust StubHub a million times over EBay.

Like I said earlier, the customer service was very good.....I am just curious what would of happened if I never called them today to find out what the story was
