This ACORn thing is pretty f'ed up, but let's be real it's not like the Republicans or associated organizations haven't tried under-handed things in the past. Also this will in no way shape or form alter the election outcome because the majority, the vast majority, of these false registrations are being caught. With that being said the people who are carrying out these false registration should be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Try to at least be reasonable. Since this is a well known issue at this point, it isn't like you can dismiss the entire issue because of a source you don't like. If Fox News was the only source reporting it I could understand your reaction, but in this case it just makes you look silly.

Here's the story from the local paper:

    Is this better?

The point is the election is being tampered with. Obviously, you don't care, but come on... there's a clear point to the thread.

do you have a reliable source on this? you should know better than to go to faux "news" for any kind of source.

have you ever worked as a voter registar? These are the people who stand outside Target with the clipboards soliciting people on the way into the store. They get paid for the # of sigs they collect.

When you do this, you are supposed to check and make sure there is not anything fishy about the name posted.

It is part of the normal procedure to authenticate signatures before they are put into the system. That's how they found out about it.

Probably some gangbanger thought it would be funny to put Mickey Mouse. Trust me, Mickey Mouse never made the voting rosters. It's yet another desperate conservative lie.

Here's a question for you. Don't you feel a little "scuzzy" about siding with politicos who are unjustly blaming poor people first for the collapse of the banking system and now are accusing them of trying to steal the election?

IF they did (which they didn't), I say turnabout is fair play.

Personally, I think this is worse than the Mickey Mouse story:

seriously, I hope they get to the bottom of this...I wonder if someone filled this form out in jest, and some staffer got lazy and just passed it along...it doesn't make it ok, but I would think if some one was trying to add fake votes to one side, they would use a regular name...
  • how do they know its the people working for acorn writing these names in. I know i fill out shit with wacky ass names and address all the time. Im sure some of them are done by the acorn people. They get paid for signing people up.

Well I'm not gay, and I have no problem with people that are.

To answer your question a colleague of mine, who is gay, swore to me on his mother's life that Obama is bisexual. He and his friends in his social circle say that this is a widely known fact to them.

I've never brought it up on here before because I don't think it is an issue. It is simply a way of saying I'll put more faith into Fox News over the Commie News Network, or some tabloid on the internet.

exactly! It's like filling out a marketing survey to them. "Fill out this survey and we'll give you a free gift." Until I see somebody actually trying to VOTE under the name "Mickey Mouse" I'm not gonna be too concerned.

and more importantly, they only get paid for names that can be authenticated.

That little fact seems to have been left out by these conservative slags.

Well if you need to win an arguement completely devoid of facts, they are always there to back you up.

If you've read any of my posts on the subject you know I HATE all broadcast media. All they are there to do is scare you into buying stuff.

At least FOX doesn't pretend to be anything they are not. Pretty much to broadcasting what proffessional wrestling is to sports.

I admit the gay thing was a cheap shot. It was beneath me. I can beat conservatives on facts. Unlike them, I don't need to step in the gutter.

btw, If I could get a response to post #11, I'd appreciate that.
