the bailout seems to have been planned. Well the events leading up to the bailout were anyway.

Reagan did the same thing, he casued a deep recession, stagnating wages and marginalizing unions for one, but then directed massive federal subsidies to the high tech industry, (which have a permanent customer in the US gov't), using star wars to get people interested in the idea. but it was a planned transfer of funds using the recession as an excuse to littleraly turn the worlds biggest creditor into one of its most indebted countries. Some trillion dollar turn around.

I think something simlar has happened here. They are pushing the economy to the limit so they can hand out billion dollar 'bailouts' to their friends.

And the inevitable side affect is the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Unions lose power. Labor loses power. These are are very important factors in theclass war.

Regretfully, I think this is only the tip of the iceberg; just imagine all the ones we're not hearing about.

There just wasn't enough oversight and regulations planted within that bill to stop this type of behaviour.

Hopefully, this will be enough incentive for government to act quickly to make an example of AIG and put in place some regulation to prevent this from occuring again.

    Okay????

    But
    Act...Regulation...Prevent...

    SHOULD BE!!

So I guess it balances itself out

That's true. Apparently, it's 100 million for four years to put their name on their shirts.
