when Bill Clinton was considered the savior of the Democrats and the best President in a long time, why is he now no good?

So many anti-Clinton people have come out of the woodwork that it makes me think of my long lost cousin after I won the lottery. Where is the loyalty? I know Bill Richardson has none after all the guy would be nowhere without Bill Clinton.

You Dem voters are you turning your backs on your hero?

Bill Clinton was no the best president in a long time. I voted for him twice simply because he was the best option but he was a sub-par president at best.

Where is the loyalty? Because his wife got a wild hair and thinks she deserves to be President we're supposed to blindly support her? Hillary's negative have always far outnumbered Bill's. She will say anything it takes to get elected. Whether it's that she's a lifelong Yankees fan, part Jewish, or that she has been under heavy sniper fire in Bosnia. She goes on the attack for Obama staying in the church where he became a Christian, where he was married, and where his children were baptized because the pastor said some fucked up shit. Last I checked, she stayed with her husband who has had endless affairs on her. Why would she do that? She would be politically dead if she ever left Bill and she wouldn't be running for President now.

Bill is not my hero. Never was. Sandwiched between two Bush's, makes him look allright but it is really just that. An optical illusion. Mediocre, at best, and full of lies, perjury, evidence tampering, finger wagging, and scandal.
He's gone from someone i merely tolerated to someone i can't stand. To hell with Bubba.
i'll bet that red nosed joker would kill to get back in the white house via the auspices of his absolutely nauseating wife so he has a reason to celebrate and crack open the humidor.

Good post. Last I checked it is Hillary Clinton running for president, not Bill.

Who has said anything about Bill? He made some stupid comments in South Carolina that he needed to be called out on. If anything, it has been easy street on Bill. The Obama camp hasn't brought up Whitewater or the Lewinsky scandal at all...which in a General Election would be brought up.

Trust me, Obama would kill for Bill's endorsement if he becomes the dem candidate. There is still lots of love for Bill. Not to mention southern love.

fuck loyalty in politics, it's about what's best, we all have a different opinion on what's best, but I don't fault Richardson at all. As for Clinton, he's treating Obama like a republican foe, and it's pissing Dem's off. Hillary has no argument for being a better candidate over Obama, her negatives guarantee she'll lose the middle.

glad I'm an independent, and can ignore all the rhetoric.

Here is one I saw yesterday. This guy was a hardcore Clinton groupie.

    http://www.suntimes.com/news/quicktakes/905772,CST-NWS-qt21.article

    Now we'll know
News Item: Political commentator Ron Reagan says he has discovered that Bill Clinton's "tell" is that he tugs on his ear "when he says something he knows not to be true."

    No. That can't be.

Clinton tugs on his ear all the -- oh.

Personally I think much of this is drummed up by the media and they are on the Obama bandwagon. They are drinking so much Kool-Aid that they have even turned on the golden prince. My case in point was Richardson, he was made by Bill Clinton and when it came time that he was to return the favor he told him to piss off. No loyalty.

I'm pretty sure that was wrote tounge in cheek.

Bill Richardson doesn't owe Hillary Clinton a damn thing. You can't in one post say that this is about Bill getting treated like crap, and then get pissed off when someone doesn't endorse his wife.

Hillary has run a shameful campaign and the super delegates see that, and it isn't helping her at all.

Ron Regan was a Clinton groupie? I'm not arguing, but that is the first that I've really heard that. I haven't seen any of Ron's comments for or against Clinton's presidency, but from what I've seen/heard from him, he seems a bit liberal to have really supported Clinton.

And what loyalty does Richardson owe to Hilary? And Bill Clinton "made him"??? While Clinton gave him two federal appointments, Richardson's government career as a congressman, congressional and senate staffer started back in the Nixon days. It's not like Bill pulled him off the streets and started him on his career path.

My views of Hilary Clinton, and the way that Bill has acted during this campaign have nothing to do with my opinion of Bill Clinton's presidency. I didn't think that he was a great president, but a pretty good one, and that hasn't changed. But it's not like that family hasn't gathered A LOT of baggage over the years.

Bill Clinton was not a good president because presidents don't have sex. If they do, they suck. And not just literally. Americans like presidents like GWB. We can't even picture the man's own wife wanting to have sex with him, no less anyone else. That's our kind of man. And that kind of man is the kind of man that gets installed once and voted in a second time. A man who is a kind of national salt peter. This kind of man is the only kind of man who has a substantial shot at being a real savior. Until he bleeds the country dry.

i don't think anyone has ever chastised Bubba for having sex. Spare me that nonsense. He didn't just "have sex". He had sex in the oval office, with what amounts to an employee, that wasn't his wife, lied about it underoath, and criminally attempted to cover it up.
"He had sex". Please. And thats just the sex scandal. There are plenty more that didn't involve sex at all.

Then you should be able to tell that that comment about Bill always tugging on his ear was tounge in cheek.

You're right. People here having been ripping into him and saying how we already know what to expect out of Hilary. Then there's the no more Bush's and Clinton's rhetoric.

You brought up a good point, imo.

Also when Bill was in office, the rhetoric then was that Hilary was the one running the show. Now that it's convenient...it's all about how she had nothing to do with any success he may have had.

It's all spin, anyways. Try to tune it out.

I voted for George H.W. Bush in 1992 because I understand the the Economy is not solely attached to the President. The same way I don't believe this current downturn can be solely attributed to George Numbnutz Bush. That whole, 'It's the Economy, stupid' thing was a falasy.
I voted for Clinton in 1996 because he hadn't been as bad as I thought and he was running against Bob Dole... BOB DOLE!!! No thanx, Bob... I don't want to return to the Stone Age (a.k.a. the 1950s).
    ...
    So, where is MY loyalty?
With the United States of America... not some bullshit political party agenda.
