Because the American people don't want to hear about issues and real solutions. They want witty campaign slogans and one liners that offer no solution to our problems. I like Ron Paul but let's face it he is boring, to most Americans. He sits there and talks about the issues facing America and his ideas on how we can start to address them. How can he compete with a slick looking young politician repeating Change at every campaign stop or the Maverick and his perky hockey mom with her small town American values repeating Change at every stop.

The choice of McCain now is only more of an indication of how totally absolutely and completely lost the republican party is. They just seem amazingly slow when it comes to self analysis... McCain was the choice 8 years ago. They went with the despot instead.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
This is the guy that they actually tried to exclude from the debates. Constitution?!? 1'st amendment??!? Alarm bells should have been going off in most people's minds at that scenario alone, and specifically as to why.
Isn't it ironic that Ron Paul has saying the same thing about the economy for the past 20 years, and now that he has been silenced, it's all everyone talks about.
Ironic indeed.
He's not "movie star" quality....same deal with Kucinich. Personally I wouldn't want a movie star president, or in my case, Prime Minister. Same as I wouldn't want an accountant that looks and talks like a car salesman.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
