I know there are stupid voters in all countries but I live in the US so I'm focusing only on US voters. This story is the perfect example of why we have shitty representation in DC. For god's sake the man was indicted on federal corruption charges and he still wins the primaries. Our people really that fucking stupid.

yeah he's a bastard... but he's OUR bastard.

Interesting that Tim Mahoney is running in Florida, I just thought he played guitar for 311.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I just don't get it. It's as clear as fucking day that Stevens is corrupt and yet people still vote for him. I'm pretty sure these same people will sit back and bitch about how bad Congress is and how corrupt politicians are completely oblivious to the fact that they elected a corrupt shitty politician. If this is a representation of the majority of US voters then we are really fucked.

  • Im proud of our state...Missouri...

A few years back during the governors race Mel Carnahan was killed in a plane crash just before the election and we still voted for him over the still alive John Ashcroft....

How big of shithead do you have to be to lose to a dead guy?

    that was awesome :)

as to the main post, i've long suspected the american electorate is largely way too fucking stupid to be trusted with a vote. but there you have democracy.

i suppose this is the flipside of what i posted yesterday of right vs. left... when you rally behind your team, sometimes you get shit like this happening. it is kind of sickly hypocritical of the party that threw a shit fit over clinton lying about an affair to turn a blind eye to egregious political corruption. then again, i guess there's an argument to be made that he's been indicted, not convicted, and he's innocent until proven guilty.
    and like that... he's gone.

that just whets my appitite for his campaign adds.

It's actually great comedy when you see exactly how full of shit these people are and the best part... they freaking believe it about themselves. They really truely believe they deserve all the corrupt BS that comes with that job because they are "public servants"

of course the people are really that stupid. People complain about washington being nothing but dirt bags and lies and corruption, then they continually vote in the same incumbents year after year...I guess it's always the other states reps and senators that are crappy incumbents.
