Another example of China's vetoing power.
Iran for example.
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

The UN can be fixed. Simply do away with the veto power of the permanent members.
It only really works when they are cleaning up another mess left by the great Satan.
how were the morning Death to America chants? louder and prouder this time?
But of course!
ehh, i'm not a big fan of the New World Order taking over. The only reason i tolerate the UN is because the US could say "fuck you guys, I'm doing it this way" (for better or worse). Without the veto, the UN could be free to dictate policy in America, and i am NOT down with that.
I think the UN should be kept around to handle various technical issues and treaties, but as peacekeepers its almost entirely worthless.
So can China which is why we have the atrocities in Darfur and Burma. Try looking beyond the US. We are not the only country that matters.
hey i dont have the answers i'm just saying i dont want to cede any control of US policy to a giant bureaucratic joke.
I think with NATO we could cut through most of the bullshit and still maintain control of our own policy.
and sorry, 99% of my friends and family live in the US, so US interests are rightly more important to me (and dont come back saying that i think we should brutally enslave the rest of the world for US interests. i said MORE important, not ALL important.)
That can't happen because we already ceded control of US policy to corporations and special interest groups.
