December 24th. While this day is a day of family, gift giving, and merriment it is also a day of rememberence for my family and I. My cousin, Adam Hunter Perez would have been turning 33 this Christmas Eve. Adam died on November 17, 2005 unexpectedly. He was such a huge presence in all the lives he touched. His smile could light up the darkest room and bring cheer to the saddest heart. Adam was my cousin and as time passed we drifted down our own roads. Shortly before his death we had reconnected and promised not to let that happen again. Unfortunetly he left us before we could carry through on that promise. I remember going to see his plays, from high school to college to his off-Broadway appearances. He was an amazing presense on stage, larger than life. It saddens me to know that I will never get to experience that again. I will never get see his smile or have that drink we promised each other. Adam always shined like the brightest star so I guess it is fitting that he now resided in the heavens. This Christmas I will take a moment to look to the heavens and wish my cousin a Happy Birthday and a Merry Christmas.

I distinctly remember the passing of your cousin because of you keeping his spirit with us. Thank you for sharing this precious life with us.
