Hey guys, maybe I haven't been in the loop as much as I should have lately, but I just realized today that I can't remember hearing ANY b-sides off Avocado. Did I miss something or didn't they release any?
Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?

They never released any. There was an interview with Danny Clinch who mentioned that they recorded them and they would be released somehow eventually. When that is who knows. I'd love to hear them.0

Thanks for the answer. I'm really surprised that it's 2 year after the album and we still haven't heard any b-sides, whether live or on some single. I'm not being critical here, but it's stunning if you think about it.Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0 -

Agree 100%. Makes me feel as though we won't be hearing them.0 -

I'm sure they are gonna get them out there somehow, sometime. They obviously didnt put them out for a reason. They sure could have if they wanted to (e.g. as a bonus on the live DVDs etc.) so maybe they wanna put em together some other way. But 2 years after the album, makes one wonder...Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0 -
It's ashame a few of them didn't replace Unemployable, Army Reserve, Severed Hand and Inside Job0

I completely forgot that I don't like Gone either. I was at the Borgata show when he debuted it. He said he wrote it in his hotel room the night before and sadly, I think it shows. I don't mind Parachutes but it really doesn't sound like a Pearl Jam song. It doesn't fit. Life Wasted really bores me as does Big Wave. Both sound really generic. I guess overall I don't really care for the album that much. The things you learn and realize on a message board at 4amI do like WWS as well. Come Back is one of my favorite Pearl jam songs and I know alot of people here find it cheesy.

good morning to you, its nearly 8am here
But yeah, i cant understand the dislike for Come Back, really comes from the heart that one.....'The more I studied religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself.' - Sir Richard Francis Burton0 -

That's exactly why I love it. Right around the time the album came out, as cheesy as it sounds, that song spoke directly to me and a situation I was in. I'm not sure the song would have the same effect on me had it not came out at that exact moment but i'm glad it did. Love it.0 -

Same here strangely enough.....
as cheesy as it sounds, my girlfriend at the time had just broken up with me and for some reason Come Back just hit home.....
Guess this is why love Pearl Jam, they soundtrack our lives....'The more I studied religions the more I am convinced that man never worshipped anything but himself.' - Sir Richard Francis Burton0 -
i think the last Bside i even liked was Black, Red, Yellow
if they aren't releasing them, that just means i have an extra 3.5 minutes to devote to a song i will actually listen to more than once.
Sorry PJ.You can't spell "dumb" without DMB0 -

Sorry PJ.
I am a big fan of U. Other than that, can't think of any others I really care for since BRY. Not a fan of Down, Undone, Leatherman...what else has there been?0 -

Same thing for me sorta! Not exactly but similar. You hit the nail on the head with the soundtrack thing.
I am off to bed. It was nice chatting with you. Have a great Saturday.0 -

Yeah, but sorry only gets you so far in certain situations. You can't tell someone that their child is ugly, footnote that statement with a heartfelt "sorry" and expect that to even things outWell, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?0
