Part of the reason is that King Faud and President Bush are homosexual lovers. Here they are during a nice romantic stroll through the rose garden after tea:

Don't you think ol' Bushy is taking the whole tough guy image to the extreme?! He's so tough he's holding hands with a burly, mustachioed arab king. Now that's butch.

Not only are they a close ally, but they're also huge defenders of human rights - why, they've only beheaded 102 people so far this year (for real).

But wait, didn't 15 of the 19 9/11 perpetrators come from Saudi Arabia ? Oh well, whats a little tussle between friends ?

just because 17/21 of the hijackers came from saudi, doesnt mean that the saudi government helped train and encourage these people to do this. much like the taliban did in Afghanistan. which is why we went to Afghanistan, not saudi.

saudi is a hot bed for extremism but the government does arrest some of them. its a fucked up place.

Check out Saudi Arabia's education system. From a young age, they are taught that the West is Evil.

Except for the money. They'll happily take our dollars while plotting our demise at the same time.

yea I agree. same happened in Afghanistan and is happening probably worse in pakistan. I guess we should just invade and destroy those countries as well. not much we can do about it.

Here's a suggestion... how about we ween ourselves from our participation in contributing to their main source of income so we no longer fund an educational system that teaches their kids to grow up and destroy us.

That's because it's not the Saudi government that is trying to destabilize Iraq. It's Saudi individuals that are unhappy that the Saudi govt does business with the USA.

However, Iran and Syria's governments are clearly playing a role in trying to destabilize Iraq.

I don't think it's so much the educational system as it is the wealth of the family goes to the eldest son to insure the family wealth in the future. This was never our problem. We should not have gotten involved.

That is where you are grossly mistaken. Do you really think that the Al Sa'ud family wants a second Shi'ite controlled country near their border. Much like Saddam's Iraq, but to a lesser extend, the Shi'ites in Saudi Arabia are treated like sub humans. The royal family does not want a Shi'ite controlled Iraq and an already Shi'ite controlled Iran influencing the Shi'ite people in Saudi Arabia and encouraging them to stand up against the Sunni government. Saudi Arabia has been funneling wsupport to Sunni insurgencies since the occupation started. The Saudi government builds and funds the religious schools that enxourage these yound men to go off and join the jihad against the infidels.

So the Saudi governments makes a few arrests here and there to look like they are cooperating. What they really need to do is stop funding these schools that pump out jihadists on a daily basis. The Saudi royal family would never do that because they know that the angery mobs would turn on them. It would be them getting their heads lopped of on some video instead of some foreign contractor in Iraq.

Saudi Arabia is the epicenter of radical militant islam and and the government allows it to spread just as long as they are not the targets. To me that buts them in the same category as Iran and Syria.
