Ahhh. So what you're saying is that protecting the environment isn't a bad thing, but seeing a green "Today Show" icon is a joke?

    If so, I agree.
  • We're trying to save the environment by finding others sources of fuel so we can reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere, and at the expense of what? food riots? people starving? sacrificing healthy and happy lives? I agree it is a scam 100%

I totally agree with this too. I remember last year when NBC did their "green week". During a commercial break they had suggestions from TV stars as to how to help "save the environment", one of the suggestions just happened to be switch to a GE high efficiency washing machine.

They had some really stupid ones too like how you should switch from a film camera to a digital camera to save paper. Yet I would think your environmental savings there would be very minimal at best. I mean if you have a perfectly good film camera it takes a lot of energy to make a replacement. If you throw out the film camera you are creating waste. A digital camera with an LCD sucks back battery power a lot more than a film camera does. Plus a lot of people print their digital pictures anyways.

the official term is called "green-washing" ... in any case - the "food crisis" the world is experiencing is because of our impact on the environment ... like i've said many times over here ... climate change will affect the poor and underdeveloped countries first and hardest ...
