    very interesting... thanks.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Sure, anyone can play with numbers. But he misses the point.

    - Did not mention anything about the economic boom the US had from 1965. How does the immigration numbers correlate to the economy growth.
    - How about unemployment? If 1 million immigrants are absorbed each year, where is the unemployment crisis?
    - Since when did the US use "helping third world countries" as an excuse to promote immigration? The government refuses to bring up a temporary work program, but gives green card to promiment PhD's or athletes in a matter of days.
    - Not to mention the promise of green cards to illegal immigrants who enlisted and are fighting in Irak.
    - What about NAFTA? This had to have an effect on the increase of immigration after '94. The US is for globalization, but just not social globalization.
    - Worst of all, curbing immigration is not the solution. The problem is much bigger than the social aspect of population.
