That Stimulus Package was a great idea ...

How did that $152B stimulous package work out ... to think we are letting Congress try again with the sum of $700B. Efffing rediculous.
I don't want to be hostile. I don't want to be dismal. But I don't want to rot in an apathetic existance either.

    It's going to be a lot more than 700B. It's a free ticket to launder money on additional schemes as well.
    Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
    and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
    over specific principles, goals, and policies.

    Never mind all the earmarks that will be attached to this bill because the members of Congress know that it will be approved and signed by the President.

    economy may suck, but at least they have rid baseball of steroids.

    This thread displays very little grasp of basic economics.

    Also, how to spell the word "stimulus."

    Still haven't gotten my check. How can I stimulate the economy? Isn't it the job of the feds to throw an inconsequential amount of money my way so I can piss it away on crap I don't need? This whole situation stinks. Deregulation is a great idea until it implodes and we get caught paying the freight for greedy bankers and an economic system that's built entirely on debt.

    I thought that the stimulus package actually helped but not nearly enough to make a differnce due to the enormous problem in the housing market.

    My stimulus check went to buying summer toys for my kids.. I figure they will still be paying for it when they are out of school and in the work force..

    They can look back and think "Oh yeah, the summer of 2008.. that sure was fun.. too bad I have to give half my paycheck now for it!"

    I am sure all of our kids are going to look back at the last 8 years and think "thanks for the ROYAL FUCK OVER!!"
