Did anyone catch his speech at the convention? Awesome! Where has this guy been hiding.
It should be on youtube tomorrow morning.

He was awesome! So glad someone other than Gore was able to address the Green issue...he really whipped the crowd into a frenzy. My favorite part was: "get off your hind ends!" when he made all the delegates stand up!!

This quote was my favorite from his speech... a classic...
"Even leaders in the oil industry know that Senator McCain has it wrong. We simply can't drill our way to energy independence, even if you drilled in all of John McCain's backyards, including the ones he can't even remember.""Where there is sacrifice there is someone collecting the sacrificial offerings."-- Ayn Rand
"Some of my friends sit around every evening and they worry about the times ahead,
But everybody else is overwhelmed by indifference and the promise of an early bed..."-- Elvis Costello0 -

That was goodtimes.
I've read a lot about Schweitzer on Daily Kos and he is an interesting figure.
I don't know about trying too hard, I think he's just a fun guy who was excited and riled up.
There is something genuine in that bolo tie, in a western-state-left-leaning-populist-but-I-love-my-gun kind of way.0 -
It was an entertaining speech as long as you don't give too much thought to the accuracy of the content. The only people we should try to get even with...
...are those who've helped us.
Right 'round the corner could be bigger than ourselves.0 -
