Fabulous book. It's so good I've stopped reading 2/3's of the way through coz I don't want it to end.

I've had about 15 different people tell me I should read this book. (Not even counting Oprah. lol) I guess I need to read it. One friend of mine told me that I would appreciate especially the spiritual aspects of the book. So I guess I will pick it up somewhere. It sounds cool.

It's interesting, this happens to me a lot. Books that I find really valuable, experiences that I need, kind of just find their way in. Someone mentioned The Power of Now to me a couple of years ago, and within days, it came to me. From someone completely unrelated to the one who'd recommended it, it literally just fell into my hands. I've learned to listen and recognize there are no coincidences. LOL, I didn't know this was one of Oprah's? Unfortunately, there seems to be a somewhat negative association with all that Oprah book club thingy these days. It could be worse though, I read an article in some magazine the other day about how Paris Hilton is carrying a copy of The Power of Now everywhere she goes......... noooooooooooooooo

Well, I think the Oprah book club thingy is on a downward spiral because of A Thousand Little Pieces. Oprah totally praised that book and supported the author who said it was a true story and then he later came out and said it was made up and made Oprah look stupid. But to her defense she was so MAD at him, and she yelled at him on her show. lol

I don't think Eat, Pray, Love is one of Oprah's books in her book club though. I think she just said that it was good and she recommended it to everybody. But not "officially" if that makes any difference. lol

So, the Power of Now! That one's good too? I'll have to check it out.

    P.S. I don't believe in coincidence either. ;)

I don't really watch Oprah but I remember my sister telling me about a show she did with some woman who....... man I can't even remember what she did. Maybe hurt or neglected her kids because of drug addiction or something. I could be wrong, but basically the picture painted was that this woman appeared on the show and Oprah ripped her to shreds and was quite merciless.

Yea, the Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle. This book really changed my perspective on life and allowed me to let go of a lot of crap I didn't need. He followed this book up with another called The New Earth, another great read.
