Or in Ireland it should be 11/9 a few things that I wanted to discuss ( I don't want to sound disrespectful to any of the dead ).
Is there many people here affected by the events of the day (relations more so than nationalism)?
I am reading "102 minutes" at the moment and I would have thought that with people falling out of the buildings that they would have been lots of them seen by the open eye. Did the tv camera's deflect from these horror scenes of lost hope?
Where did the companies who operated on the two towers go after wards?
IT was probably the most gripping piece of tv that I ever saw but was the US gripped in the terror for a time after?
What is going to happen to the space that was left when the towers fell?
Has OSama lost his power now that he has gone into hiding?
How do the police and fire departments get on now?

he is more of a status symbol now. he doesnt have much control of day to day operations of el queda. but who knows.
I think that tv cameras and photographers probably did get a lot of pictures/footage of people jumping out of the building but probably did not release it since it definitely would have been seen as disrespectfull and in bad taste by the public. There was actually a documentary about 9/11 where two cameramen followed one of the fire crews into one of the towers and in the background you could here these incredibly load thuds. One of the fire fighters yells out that it is the sound of people who jumped hitting the pavement. Even though you can not see the jumpers the sound they made was unnerving.
A lot of companies moved else where in NYC or over to New Jersey, specifically Jersey City which has a huge waterfront with a lot of office space.
The police and fire departments have recovered since that day but the events of that day definitely took it's toll. The fire department alone lost over 300 fire fighters that day. That is not counting the one's that retired after because of their deteriorating health due to exposure to the contaminated air down their during the search and rescuer operation. It took the NYFD a few years to recover from the losses they suffered that day. The NYPD and Port Authority PD lost members as well to both the collapse and health reasons but their losses where no where near the number of fire fighters.
I think jlew pretty much covered the rest.
or is it?
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
