His line (I'm paraphrasing): "It's easy to get into the debates, it's not so easy to get on The Tonight Show" as an answer to why he's there instead of at tonight's debate in New Hampshire really irked me. #1 He's a Hollywood mofo ... OF COURSE he can get on the Tonight Show and #2 the point of debating is not the prestige, it's the interaction with other candidates... I had to agree with him that the format of the debates thus far has not been very productive or enlightening, but it doesn't mean you're too cool for them.

Also, it was mentioned on Bill Maher's show the other night (I believe it was Mike Gravel who brought it up) that Thompson rides in a limo until he gets near one of his rallies, then he gets out of the limo and into a red pickup truck, which he drives to the rally. Lame. Wicked fucking lame.

Pretty good actor, lousy politician. Maybe some of that acting comes out in his politricking.

Reagan was a very good politician... maybe not that great at actually governing, but he was a master at the political side of it. I just don't see Thompson as good enough on the political side of it to get nominated.

you have to play an Asshat in order to get the sheep to vote for you....think about what you have to say to get the scared right wing base to vote for you......

watched douchbag Huckabee other day......."It's harder for an Amerikin to get on a plane in his hometown than it is for an illegal to enter this country"

The republicans are just saying what they need to say.

If you notice the Dems are finally picking up on this....freakin Hilliary's invoking god along with the other Dems.....they're starting to realize what it takes to get elected.

Hell if and when I open my own business...garanteed I'll have a big ole Jesus fish on all my signs and marketing...it works.

I have no interest in him if he really said that he would ban abortions......that's just out and out pandering.....because he can't legally do it!!!! I looking for someone who wants to unite the country....not divide it further.

I would agree if he was not bald and ugly. I don't think we've had a bald president in the TV era. Well Eisenhower, but I don't know how prevalent TV was when he was elected.

    Ugh...don't say that.

It took me about 3.5 years into the Bush presidency to actually utter the words "president" and "Bush" right next to each other. I'm not joking.

I won't let my mind go there..............
