anyway, Obama easily won the debate... Clinton did terrible... I think we can call it

Are you including the delegates from Michigan and Florida in your calculations? Because you just know those will magically end up counting if they secure Hill-Bill the nomination.

If that happens, it will rank up there with the Florida mess in 2000 and the Ohio mess in 2004 as one of the most screwed up abortions of the will of the people ever.

If this thing goes past this Tuesday, it will happen, though. At least cunton we'll do her damnedest to see that it happens. She will do whatever it takes without remorse or fear of reprecussion.

  • There is no way he looses texas, 1/4 of the delegates are decided by caucuses.

Call me a slow-witted mom used to reasoning with a seven year old, but... doesn't it work that someone lays out the rules of the game, then the players play the game, and then someone wins?

What Hillary will say -- what she is already saying -- is that it is unconstitutional to essentially "disenfranchise" voters in these two states, and their voices should be heard too, and yada yada yada.

If nothing else, you can bet it will be shrill.

The problem with that is, she voted in favor of those rules when they were set. She obviously didn't have a problem with those rules then. She now has a problem with the rules because she is losing.

Well, yeah. The time to speak up on behalf of the poor, voiceless Democrats in Michigan and Florida would have been several months ago. Not now. But that won't stop HIll-Bill from trying.

Maybe she could use the old, "I voted for it before I voted against it" defense.

i won't call you that :). i have 2, 5, and 8 year old boys to reason with. Yes, that's how it works for rational people with integrity. The clintons are without rationality and integrity.

Fair enough. It's still changing the rules after the fact. Surely they won't count the results of the primaries that were held in January, right? It appears that the state won't pay for new primaries, so the DNC will have to pay for new ones. And Obama surely will not lose either state by a large enough margin.

The game of scheduling primaries is pretty dumb anyway.

Oh, no Hillary wants to count the results of the January primaries, in which she ran uncontested because everyone else, you know, followed the rules.

i know polls mean little (especially lately). That being said, i think Rasmussen is generally the most trusted. Whats interesting here, is the trend. There is definitely a trend in one direction. Also interesting, i think, is when you consider that lately (post super Tuesday) Obama has been seriously outperforming the polls. For example, poll estimates had him ahead in Wisconsin by only a few points on the day of the primary. He won by 17 points. If all the trends continue, Tuesday could be the end of this thing.

six days later, and i'm no longer so sure that Obama will clean house tomorrow. memories are short, and there's been some negative press about Obama, fair or not. it's hard to tell how Texas and Ohio Democrats will vote - i am finding it hard to wait until the results come in tomorrow night.

how will this NAFTA issue play?

what about the increasing mentions of Barack Obama's middle name Hussein? i think it's insane and awful that anyone would think differently of him simply because of a name, but the fact is people will... i just don't know how many.

I am not feeling good at all about the primaries today. I really think Hillary will win 3/4, but I think Obama will win Vermont big and win the caucus portion of Texas.

Yeah, i don't see Obama winning anything but Vermont today. The last few days have been pretty shitty. Its all bullshit of course, but the dirty tactics are working. i'm pretty depressed going in today. We'll see.

I don't think I could be more depressed. I'm fucking sore from basketball tonight, I was up with a pregnant wife in the middle of the night, my iPod decided to crap out and lose 6,000 songs, 6" of snow is on its way, and Obama has no momentum at the moment.

The dirty tricks w/ the Muslim rumor, Canadian gov't, Rezko, and the 3am ad have really deflated the Obama campaign.

Let's extend the primary and keep giving the Republicans material to use against us in November...that sounds like a great fucking idea.

Yeah, add on top of it all the republican crossover to do just that. i was taking the kiddos to school this morning and heard on talk radio (captive audience as i was) on conservative call in shows all the talk of callers laughing and saying they got up this morning to vote for clinton just to keep the race going. i'm hoping the substantial early voting helps Obama a bit. He has been way outperforming the polls. i guess i'm trying to stay positive. Not really working though.

    Buck up, little troopers. :)

Not that we like it, but didn't we kind of have an idea that these few weeks off would slow his momentum? It was to be expected. As was the "kitchen sink" approach Hillary is using. It is a bummer.

To keep it upbeat tonight...at my house, we're doing appetizers and beer for dinner.

I just can't believe it still might continue on for a month or more. I'm tired of her voice already.

You guys need to buck the fuck up... we all know unless Hillary wins by double digits in every state the math is not there. Remain positive. They want to end it in Penn? Fine bitch, lets do it.

I'm not worried about the nomination slipping away. You are right, the math is in Obamas corner. He could come out tonight losing only 5 delegates. However, I'm sick and tired of the Clinton campaign doing the Republicans dirty work for them. We cannot take 6+ more weeks of this as a party. It's got too negative and every attack that Hillary uses against Obama is repeated by John McCain within hours.

The Republicans are sabotaging this thing in Texas today. In Texas you don't register for a party. You can vote in either primary. All of the Republicans are voting for Hilary in the Democratic primary on the theory that she is easier to beat than Obama.

Just so you know. It is all over the news down here.
