There's an online petition going for a Gravel/Nader<---->Nader/Gravel ticket.

who? why would anyone listen to him now, if they haven't yet? he hasn't gotten .5% of the total dem primary votes casts yet...don't see how anyone will vote for him in the general election.

the idea is to create an alternative to the two-party system which protects the really corrupt people in our government. tho i have sympathies with the Obama crowd, i just don't buy into his rhetoric. so whether its Clinton or Obama vs McCain, some of us just can't vote for one of those choices. if the Dems choose Obama, i may decide to vote for him, but it's a hard choice for me. i want to know i at least have that choice to vote for someone with principles and real solutions (without having to write-in some completely unknown candidate).

also, most people still don't know who Mike Gravel is.

but i have to admit, i don't think this country would ever go for a guy like this:

but i hope i have that energy when i'm 77 years of age. :D

My former step-grandmother recently wrote a book, 'Looking Like the Enemy', and in an interview for it she laughed and said, "Life begins at 80!" - Some people just have that kind of energy. She's always had that kind of energy, so maybe Gravel has as well.

On the election bit - it is hard to vote for somebody with whom you disagree on so many issues, yet they are the closest match on the ballot. For me, it leaves me with a sick feeling that I will hardly be represented. More often I will spend my time disappointed and writing letters.

people arent listening to the top candidates for the two main parties. they are being force fed them to the point where people on this board actually think Obama is bringing all the troops home when he gets elected... and i bet a few think Hillary will also..

this is a tragedy in the making
