Anyone else impressed by presidential candidate Tom Vilsack on the Daily Show?

First impressions: smart, well-spoken, a sense of humor, seems to have a sense of duty, well-grounded.

Alright, now I got to try to find something wrong with him... I guess there's bound to be something, but so far I'm impressed. Definately a better candidate than Al Gore and John Kerry.

naturally, as you would want the opposite of Gov. Vilsack's qualities.

Just checked out the interview, not really impressed at all. He did'nt say anything at all to show that he was any different from other politicians.

Jon Stewart carried vilsack through the entire interview, did'nt you notice?

I think kerry is a better candidate and i'm sure you know how much I dislike that guy.
  • I don't know about Vilsack, but Jon Stewart Leibowitz is a no-talent ass. Honestly. He has no talent. Not funny. Just quirky. He has lots of cute quirks. That's just his personality. It is in no way funny.

All he does is sit in front of a camera and mock people with video clips that were taken out of context and quips that were written down for him. He adds a little mocking 'tude and BAM, you have a Daily Show episode. He's no better than Jay Leno.

I hesitate to say it, but it's people like him and Ross from Friends that make me question whether no-talent jewish people can really get on a show if they know the right people.

Seriously, Ross sucked. I don't even remember his real name he was that bad.
All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

    Is that a joke post?

Jon stewart comes off as highly inteligent. Infact he's probably one of the few decent people on TV these days

He always helps people thru the interviews but I wouldnt say he carried him thru. He just struck me as unusual for a politician. Hes probably corrupt in some way, but I just want to give the guy a chance, and see what people know about him.

Well of course my friend, I should obvioulsy learn more about him before I dismiss him, but as far as first impressions go, i'm not that impressed.

But it was his first interview so maybe he just needs some more time to open up? we'll see as the months go on.
