Bravo Stoney! Great rhythm... and loved the band in the vid.. all very talented..




I do think the song is about smacking a bitch up though haha i will have to see a proper transcript of the lyrics before making this assumption :D

Anyhow.. buyin the song after seeing the vid:)

    are you serious?! the song sucks! i swear they could record Stone passing gas and some of you would call it genius.

    this crap is responsible for delaying the new album even more? GREAT!!! :mad:

    Oh come on... they are all doing their lil run of stuff..
    and i mean , usually solo stuff is just like icing without the cake anyhow.. DUH... but its not THAT bad.. i personally like it.. its got great rhythm guitar and some really nicely done musical aspects.. i cant get over the smacking someone up part but i like it cuz its super simple and melodic.. u can't blame a nigga for trying.. and its not like anyone could live up to ed's freakin itw hooplah anyhow..

    Look, dont worry about how long its taking them for the new album. When you rush an album you end up with "the latest album that i REFUSE to call pearl jam" not that it was a bad album by ANY MEANS but it felt rushed to me, and that shows in the end product.

    Sheesh, that one wore me out ;)


    But id like to agree to disagree because your a fan of binaural .. and binaural is my home boy

    I have never seen a crowd go more wild than when stone sang "Don't Gimme No Lip" at philly in 05. Im just sayin .. the crowds speak for themselves :D

    you think Avacado sounds rushed? fuck , Riot Act must sound like they made it in a day to you then!! :D

    i love this song, but personally i dont pay attention to lyrics at first, just the melody and stuff at first. AND i love riot act and binaural and yall that don't can suck it! ;)

    That reception was strictly for the self acknowledgment of the super duper uber-fanatics ;)..I remember Stone sang that song from No Code at one of the concerts I attended..don't hold me to it, but I think it was the state college show in PA 03..anyway, it sucked major dingleberries..

    Riot act was AMAZING.... there was a concept.. there was fullness..
    Didnt feel that with the newest one.. but to each his own as they say :D You can pretty much play anything after "Can't Keep" and it will be good. Sets a great vibe (as once was to ten, sometimes to no code, and and so on and so forth)


    TheChamp: Yeah there are alot of uber fans in philly (and they all rule) but i was genuinely pumped when they played it.. .. i love the song... Id trade in stone singing for a crazy mary or last kiss ANY DAY of the week.. not that im anti Last kiss , its just a set killer (much like MOTH only because it depresses and bums me out) Its like, what the hell do you go into after MOTH? Mfc might work but even then :D its nice to be silly and have a lil fun :D Doesnt all have to be Jeremy's and Alives ..

    Fair enough regarding the Stone singing/embarrassment ;)..but I gotta say, I too enjoy the little 'Can't Keep' tune, but if I'm reading this correctly, you indirectly imply that it's better than 'Life Wasted?' Nah, that can't be right..

    I have to agree. Life Wasted is a great leadoff hitter/table setter.

    i like your style... ;) though i think if we have a little MOTH in the middle of an acoustic encore, maybe not so set killer-ish? i mean i really do love MOTH so much live...

    They are both different in their own way but .. if i got to pick an opener at a show i was attending, "Can't Keep" would beat "Life wasted" hands and butts down. "Pearl Jam" just didnt feel like "pearl jam" to me.. i dunno... i love it but it took me quite a bit to warm up to even as much as i have. It was all worth it simply for 'Come Back' and 'Comatose'

    Moth is an AMAZING tune.. And i guess i never got to see it live until after i saw the video of the baby that passed a way.(when pearl jam ran the make your own video thing) Its been hard to stomach ever since for me.
