I went to the movies last night and watched this. Now I know a lot of people dislike Michael Moore because of his snide commentary or perhaps his views or even thinking he's a propagandist, but for those of you that have seen it, what did you think?
In my opinion, it once again states how much of our government is run and controlled by big business. Most people hear that or already believe it, but it's never stated enough or to what elaborate extent business and corporations create, dictate or shoot down policy for their own profit, while millions of citizens are affected negatively as a result. I think that is the underlying theme of the movie and even if you hate Moore's guts, I find it hard pressed to hear anyone argue against that main point. Lobbying and campaign financing have become the new bribe scam in which the people of this nation lose out. All you ever hear from the media is how great our economy is doing, but on a person to person level, it's just false - the business sectors and already well off are doing better, not the majority. I personally feel our country has been so corrupted by the government's inefficiency to keep big business and corporate America from setting the agenda's and policies, compared to just allowing them to be involved as a minor participant for details and side notes to the topic. The government is now completely rotten and the disease is spreading from the inside out. The greed has spread so much, it takes hold in other areas like foreign policy, insurance, education and almost every other aspect of life you can imagine. It truly disgusts me!
