atleast purple hawk is paying attention...thanks for the transcript...

Paying attention to what Limbaugh says is not exactly a higher calling. It's more like eating lead paint shavings.

again, i'll point you to the pew study finding that Rush has the most politically knowledgable audience of any media program. even more knowledgable than stubborn npr and cspan listerners i have to deal with every day.

you can call into question his credibility all you want, you can call his audience names all you want, and you can think that bill maher is machiavelli all you want. keep thinking everyone who is right of chomsky has the blinders on and see how far that gets you.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days

liberal media? pfft...don't you know that they propped up bush and his lies? and clinton and hir lies? and ted kennedy and his lies? and britain's lies? and france's lies? russia's lies....etc. Everyone knows the media is owned by *gasps* companies!!! the corruption...we need a government owned media...to get to TRUE accountablity.

i agree with ya, bruther, but using "liberal media" around these parts won't turn on the lightbulb.

I'm not a big Chomsky fan but his shits are more intelligent than Limbaugh. As for the "all you wants" -- thanks for your permission, I will. Limbaugh has no credibility with those who can think for themselves. Limbaugh fans are big doo doo heads. Maher is no Machiavelli but I'm guessing Limbaugh said that and you like repeating his edgy material. Good for you.

I guess Limbaugh was wrong about "liberals" being outraged at him and falsely accusing him of calling Obama a magic negro. Just another dumbass attempt to humor his audience. Maybe he will get it correct next week. LOL.

can you explain? i think for myself...i actually make my living studying politics...i see him as having more credibility than npr, pbs, all the "dino media." but that's just me. going through life thinking that everyone not like you can't think for themselves...isn't a way to go through life.

The main problem with Limbaugh is that he embodies his freedom to think and say and do what he pleases as to be conservatism.

That's the core of his bullshit right there.

I honestly don't believe you've ever listened to him...

he, and I, honestly believe in conservatism...and there are lots of us...I don't agree with all his positions, but his entire venture has been to make conservatism mainstream. true he does it in a way that offends many, but his popularity is attributable to the monopoly liberalism has on mainstream culture.

my entire life i've viewed all comedy bits, sit-coms, speeches by my fave musicians, etc, as bullshit...finally this guy comes along and makes liberal viewpoints a target of comedy, rather than conservative viewpoints.

rush is supposed to be comedy? and how come when your fav musicians make such comedy it's bullshit and when your guy does it he's just making good points? that sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

  • i've heard nothing about this in the mainstream liberal drive-by dino media. must've only been a big deal in rush's moonsized bald head. he's already moved on to bigger and better things, like taking cheap shots at a presidential candidate and his cancer victim wife. i'd expect nothing less.

LOL. Well, you know, maybe they are. They're both cogs in the wheel of the media machine, worthless.

To address the Hawk's earlier reply to mine of the liberation of his mind in the word of Rush, and his conservatism, well, that's even more worthless, so I don't have a reply to that.

I think its a reference to an old, industry-standard "sexy" shampoo or hairspray commercial.

who the hell is David Ehrenstein? no one had heard of him until you posted this. why is his opinion so important, or so representative of "the left"?

Purple Hawk, you are totally sucked into the Cult of Limbaugh, almost as if he's Jesus or something. do you really believe he deserves to get paid $100 million or whatever ridiculous amount it is to simply give his opinion on the radio? the only reason he can do so is because he has a tremendous ability to brainwash people, and there's several industries who rely on his ability to sway public opinion in the direction of the candidates they have bought out. same thing happens on the supposed "left" too. but i wouldn't even say that Rush is an honest conservative. he's nothing but a sheister.

The whole idea is stupid. I mean, it's like a stupid pet trick.

"How many fingers am I holding up?" asks Rush.
    "Arf, arf, arf, arf."
"I think you said 'conservative', good boy."

I kind of remember the Breck girl in the 70's. It's kind of odd, even for me, to hear of the Breck girl these days.

that was before my time. no wonder i dont get it. regardless, didnt know rush was tearing on john edwards. that's a shame he has to stoop so low. this is probably the first time in a decade i've actually been impressed with the democratic field of candidates.

It's a broader field than I can ever remember. It does me good to know you're part of the better half.

rush, saint that he is, waited almost half a day before he started bagging on edwards for deciding to continue his campaign.

how long until rush says that elizabeth edwards is faking her cancer for political reasons?

nothing wrong with being bald. geez, you conservatives are overly sensitive and p.c.

i would like to see this answer, too!
    standin above the crowd
he had a voice that was strong and loud and
i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way
